Same finishes, similar furnishings; lovely!
This is an A+ property: CLEAN, comfortable, and has all the conveniences of home (full kitchen, flatware, plates, etc). There is access to temperature settings within the apartment. Apt. is one block from subway and a nice shopping area with local restaurants and bars. Conveniently located and did I say CLEAN?! I've found the place that I will stay every time I go to WA DC.
Great location and really convenient to dining, shopping and much more. The metro was only a block away. The homeowner was awesome! There a few times while we were walking in the neighborhood that some sketchy looking individuals made us feel a little uncomfortable. But overall it was an awesome experience at the property!! I felt at home.
This is a nice one bedroom, garden level apt, in a great location, just one block for metro stop. Our daughter slept on comfortable futon couch. Lots of great restaurants within 2 to 3 blocks. Very safe. Danny is great host (he lives upstairs) and went out of his way to make sure our needs were met. We will stay here again on future visits.
My husband and I stayed at this beautiful property this past weekend. The location was amazing - close to everything, including the metro stop. The home was very clean, sleek and we really enjoyed our stay. The one draw back, is the water heater was working properly; however, we addressed it with the owner and he responded quickly. Great stay!
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay in this apartment last week. After I booked it I researched the area a little more and became very nervous - I am a single woman traveling with an 8 year old child - would it be safe? However, once I arrived (and stayed a night) I realized I had nothing to worry about - the area is very safe, urban, but safe. And the security at the apartment was great.
The location is fabulous!!! Just 1 block to the subway. We flew into National and rode subway to/from the apartment, very easy (both on yellow line no need to even transfer). Also very easy to get to all the DC sights on the subway.
In addition to being close to subway it is about 1.25 blocks to Target (groceries and snacks for our stay). And 1.5 blocks to a great bakery - Sticky Fingers (there is also a grocery store across from Sticky Fingers altho we shopped at Target).
Continuing with safety, we walked to/from subway &/or Target or Bakery early in morning and late (for an 8 year old - 9:45pm) and always felt comfortable doing so.
I would absolutely stay at this apartment (or the one upstairs) again, and I would recommend either to friends and family.
The apartment looks just like the pictures - super cute (fun colors, everything you need) and very clean.
My home is one block from the Metro on a lovely tree-lined block with immediate access to restaurants, shopping and grocery. All of Washington's most visited and stunning sites are on the Metro line within just a few short stops from the house.
Columbia Heights is a vibrant, diverse neighborhood that has an eclectic mix of many ages, cultures, and income levels. It boasts a beautiful mix of turn of the century & 1920’s architecture as well as a mix of big box shopping & national restaurant chains. The neighborhood also has many independent, small restaurants and a very close proximity to DC’s other well-known, popular neighborhoods via, Metro, taxi, bus or by foot.
