We are life time residents of the Adirondack Mountains and moved to Jay in 2005 after having lived in Lake Placid, the Olympic village all of our lives. Tom is a retired teacher of 31 years and Lisa has pursued her passions of gardening, writing, sewing and raising their 3, now adult, children.
Lisa Smith purchased this house in 2005
Why Lisa Smith chose Jay
When Tom and Lisa sold their home in Lake Placid and went on a search for the new spot it was love at first 'site'. We knew we wanted to build a log home and we knew we wanted peaceful, gentle living with mountain views. This was the first property we saw and we knew it was it! It had everything we were looking for and it has proven to be perfect in every way! The grounds are perfect for Lisa's many gardens and have recently become the grounds for a wine vineyard, under the supervision of our oldest son who is a sommelier' The property has been fun to make ours! You will enjoy the beauty that we have created in this spot!!
What makes this house unique

In season,a small fireplace area is outside for your evening roasting of marshmallows or just enjoying the stars and the evening air.
