I've lived in San Clemente for 18 years after 10 years in Europe. My home is filled with eclectic pieces from many countries so of course the adjoining Casita Laurita reflects my style!
I've always loved the 'southwest' section of San Clemente, the older, sought after area close to well known surf spots and pristine beaches. From the moment I stepped foot into this house, I knew it would be my 'home' for a very long time. And now, I welcome guests from around the world to share in this little bit of paradise, San Clemente Beach.
The casita is walking distance to the beach, pier, downtown, shops, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, train stop (catch the train to LA or San Diego right from the pier!)
My husband and I had the joy and privilege of staying at Casita Laurita during our visit to California for our wedding/honeymoon. We arrived late and when we walked into our room we had a lovely bottle of wine and treats with a note welcoming us. Laura doesn't miss a thing. Since we arrived so late she had a plate in the refrigerator with all the fixings for a breakfast for us the next morning. We felt so special and so welcomed. The Casita was extremely clean and decorated so nicely and very cozy and relaxing for our needs. It's a great location for a walk to the beach and local shopping. A very quiet area too with a lovely patio out front to sit and enjoy a glass of wine.
We fell in love with Laura. On our wedding day she played romantic music for us while she took some pre wedding photos of us before our departure for Laguna Beach.
Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we have fabulous memories of our wedding and our stay at Casita Laurita. Thank you Laura for being a part of our special day! And thank you for being a wonderful host! It was a pleasure.
I had the pleasure of staying at Casita Laurita for a week while on a work assignment in San Clemente. If you are a worker bee like me this is the place for you! It is so quiet in Laura's quaint neighborhood, you can work without any interruptions and get the best night sleep in preparation for the next work day. The Casita has everything you could ever need and downtown is close with numerous restaurants/bars and little speciality shops. The beach is just down the street and the sunsets are awesome. Laura is an excellent hostess and eager to make your stay relaxing. Oh, and did I mention, the bed is like sleeping on clouds! Thank you Laura!!!
Four nights at Casita Laurita was the perfect way to wind down after my business trip to Orange County. The studio is nestled in a residential area near the San Clemente Pier/ T-Street Beach and historic downtown shopping district. The outdoor living areas are an extension of the studio and perfect for reading and relaxing. Laura's attention to detail and hospitality made this stay exceptional... Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Socal sun, blue pacific, white beaches, t-street, rivi, uppers, barb wire, trestles, steep drops, duck dives, rider's club burgers, pedro's tacos, hapa j's poke, sonny's pizza, rose's san onofre omellettes, left coast hop juice, friendly locals, cozy airy quiet quarters, and best of all... LAURITA :) Genuine awesomeness. Don''t miss it !!!
We stayed at Casita Laurita while visiting our Marine. The Cottage was immaculate and so very inviting. We loved being able to fly in and have beach equipment provided! Laura has seen to every possible detail, especially the cozy, relaxing atmosphere.
The only downside was the fact that that the futon bed wasn't as comfy as desired. Other than that it was totally a beautiful, tranquil cottage nestled among the ocean and the quaint downtown.
The was very clean and comfortable, with all and more amenities off any major hotel chain. Laura had all the things we needed to enjoy ourselves on the beach. This was centrally located with easy access to San Clemente downtown, beach and rail service north and south. The best part of the stay was Laura herself. She is a very genuine person, extremely accommodating, we felt like friends the first day we arrived. We highly recommend staying here, as we plan to again next year.
