***Fantastic***

This bungalow is PERFECT for enjoying downtown Chattanooga! We did have a car, but we really enjoyed the walk to downtown. The house is very nicely decorated, the bed was super comfy and I loved the nice down comforters!! Really enjoyed having a full size kitchen! SO much better than a hotel!! Will definitely stay here again!!

Older Home - Great Location

  • 4 of 5

This home is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to North Shore dining and shops. It was clean and tidy. The neighborhood is in transition, so there are a mix of really nice homes and not so nice homes. This one falls somewhere in the middle. This is an older home and it does show, particularly outside. The yard and landscaping are not in great shape. The yard is steep, and the concrete stairs and walkway are cracked and uneven in a lot of places. This house is best suited for adults who are in good shape. Handicapped, elderly, and families with young kids will want to avoid this one. Overall, a good place to stay, but I would have expected it to be a little nicer for the price. The location, however, is fantastic so it gets 4 stars.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We appreciate your thoughts. It's true, North Chattanooga is typical of a downtown neighborhood undergoing a revitalization. Due to the location, it's a very popular area with many new, beautiful homes being constructed. As stated, this 1920's bungalow isn't fancy (it's a fairly standard Southern two bedroom bungalow)- though very clean. The positives: for the exact same price as a downtown hotel room you get two bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, dining room, front porch, and back yard. Many, many families have stayed over the years and enjoyed having the extra room to spread out. As stated in the description, due to the steps going to the bungalow it's not well-suited for the elderly. My apologies for the condition of the yard. As of this review, it has rained for almost 10 days straight, making lawn care difficult. Yesterday after some much welcome sunshine, the landscaping was attended to. I'm glad to hear that overall you found the bungalow to be clean and in a great location. Location certainly makes a difference, especially if you plan to enjoy all the wonderful things downtown Chattanooga has to offer. Thanks again for your time!

This house was really cute and had everything we needed. Much better than staying at a hotel and only a block away from everything! There's so much to do in Chattanooga and you can walk to everything from this location.

This bungalow was super cute. It was super close to everything, we didn't have to drive anywhere. I Will say th. House needs some upgrades in furniture, the couch was squeaky, there was only 2 dining chairs with the other 2 falling apart. The guest bed was so uncomfortable unlike previous reviews suggested. Also. the kitchen was sparce in knives and cooking pansutensils. Overall, a nice stay due to location

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. It's nice to hear how we can do better. Following your suggestion, we did make a few changes including adding two more chairs in the dining room (as pictured) and more knives (14 total). All furniture was inspected and we were unable to find any damaged chairs. It was disappointing to hear the sofa is squeaky, as it was only one month old at the time of this review. It was not an inexpensive sofa and I wouldn't expect it to squeak. (The sofa is pictured). I'm afraid the vase containing all the cooking utensils must have been overlooked- It's located on the counter next to the microwave. Again, I appreciate you taking the time to make suggestions and hope you enjoyed your visit to Chattanooga!
