About Our Location: Sand Dollar Beach Cottage is located at Marley Beach in Warwick. Many readers may be aware of the former hotel called Marley Beach Cottages -- Sand Dollar Beach Cottage was formerly a part of that hotel, although it has been substantially upgraded since the property was a hotel.
Steps away from a beautiful and private beach, central to just about everything anyone could wish to do in Bermuda with convenient bus stops at the bottom of the driveway, restaurants within walking distance, golf, tennis, sightseeing and shopping only minutes away..... This is a rare gem in Bermuda for the visitor who doesn't want the large hotel stay and prefers to get out and do their own exploring and discovery based in one of the most romantic, private and spectacular settings in Bermuda!
Sunrises, Sunsets and Whales: Sand Dollar Beach Cottage faces south, and no matter the time of year or weather, the sunrises and sunsets are nothing short of spectacular!
Whale watching is wondrous in the springtime, with frequent sightings early in the mornings and early evenings during March, April, and sometimes into May. The whales are often within half a mile of the beach as they come in during the night to protect their young. You don't need binoculars to watch them frolicking, breeching and just cavorting in Bermuda's tranquil and protected waters.
During the summer months, the snorkeling on private Marley Beach is magical. You can even see scores of large parrot fish feeding on the reefs close in to the shore with your naked eye right from the terrace overlooking the beach.
IF YOU HAVE MORE PEOPLE: We also have a studio apartment next door. It's called Sand Pebble Studio. This is a large studio with kitchen, full bath, large bed/sitting room, patio etc. You can view this unit on this website.
you might like to consider also renting the studio if you have a larger party. It is suitable for two and can be set up with king bed or twins.
Born and raised in Bermuda. Grew up at Marley Beach.

Sand Dollar Beach Cottage really grows on you. You can wake up in the morning and walk down to the beach with a cup of coffee or an exercise mat. Centrally located to all points on the island. I think it is a marvelous place.
We were two couples visiting Bermuda for the first time and we couldn't have been more pleased with both the house we rented and the service we received from both the owner and by his assistant, Glen.
What we enjoyed most was having the beach all to ourselves. Being alone on a private beach which is literally minutes away from your front door is an amazing experience.
The house is clean and has all the amenities one would expect including a large patio with a BBQ.
We took advantage of having our host purchase the bus tickets for us and would recommend that other guests to do the same since the Bus stops are located right down the road from the house and the fact that visitors are not permitted to rent cars in Bermuda.
I would recommend this property to anyone who enjoys great ocean views, peace and quite and staying in a secluded area located only 25 minutes from downtown Hamilton.
The only complaint we had was that it rained a couple of days during our stay however, I don't believe that I can blame our hosts for that.
40 years ago, my best friend Steve and I along with 2 high school classmates came to Bermuda for a 10 day vacation after graduating from High School. Steve and I have been promising our wives that we would revisit Bermuda with them at some point. Well, after our children growing up, college, marriage and grandkids we finally made the arrangements to coincide with our visit 40 years ago. We could not have made a better choice in accommodations. Renting Steve's Sand Dollar Cottage was like a dream come true. The pictures cannot describe how beautiful the property actually is. After realizing that scooters were not in our best interests, the transportation passes were great. Having a bus stop at the bottom of the hill was perfect. Heading East or West was a breeze once the schedules were figured out. Plus they include Ferry rides which were great in the evenings. Riding the ferry from Hamilton to the Dockyards and then the bus back to Marley Beach was a great way to end the evening dining in Hamilton. The Sand Dollar is a great place and includes anything you would need for a great week. Everything described for amenities is totally accurate. It is like having a private beach. The swimming and snorkeling were great right there. If you snorkel out to the main reef you will not be disappointed. Plus, it seemed like we had a school of Parrot fish swimming off shore every day. Jet skiing, horseback riding, taxi cab tour of the island, golf and helmet diving were all part of our week. Needless to say, we all had a great time. Meeting Martha upon arrival and Gordon during the week helped us to find out about some places on the island.(sight seeing, eating, etc) Our last night dining on the second floor porch at Flanagan's Irish Pub in Hamilton was a great ending to a fabulous week. Just a note, my friends wife
has celiac so she needs to eat gluten free. Do your homework before making reservations. Flanagan's actually has a gluten free menu as does Dockyard Pastry and other eateries on the island. Thank you Steve for allowing us to rent the Sand Dollar. A return trip to Bermuda is definitely in our future and the Sand Dollar will be our accommodations.
In early June our family had the great pleasure of attending a wedding in Bermuda which was only made more memorable by the venue of Marley Beach. The unbelievable views speak for themselves and I could do no better than the photos that our gracious host, Steve, has posted. The cottage was immaculate and well fitted out for the four of us but could easily have accommodated one of two more and with friends and family also staying in his other adjacent properties many a social dinner was had. While normally I would not comment on the TV in a vacation rental it was the start of the World Cup and the large flat screen was welcomed for a couple of mid afternoon matches. Steve, our inn keeper and guru of all things Bermuda made booking accommodations easy and deciding what to do and see easier with his spot on recommendations for food and fun. Steve arranged for us to be able to purchase bus passes on arrival and with a bus stop at Marley Beach is the most convenient way to get around. His suggestion to have the cab driver stop for basic groceries on the way in the from the airport insured that a welcoming Cuba Libre on the patio was ready within 10 minutes of arrival. Way to go Steve. A fantastic stay in a truly memorable location.
We stayed here with our three teenage children. The unit was clean, well maintained and the description given by the owner was accurate. The listing photos accurately reflect the rental appearance and amenities. There is a bus stop close by, but we rented 3 scooters for getting around the island. An excellent property that I would recommend to friends and relatives.
Just got back from a week stay at Sea Song cottage which is adjacent to this one. These cottages are some of the best Bermuda has to offer. They're clean, spacious, updated and the location is fantastic. As you can see in the pictures, the cottages overlook the ocean in almost every direction. And walking down the hill, you have a beautiful private beach to enjoy.
Truly amazing place to enjoy Bermuda's beauty. No wonder these cottages book so far in advance. Bermuda's hidden treasures.
Absolutely fabulous stay at Marley Beach in the Sand Dollar cottage. First, Steve is a great man - booking the stay was simple and Steve was extremely helpful with all of my questions. Second...the 'cottage' far exceeded our expectations. We have a family of 5 including 3 kids - ages 20, 19, and 16. There was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was great and we were able to eat breakfast and several dinners at the cottage. The cottage is quite close to many of the fabulous south beaches. The snorkeling and swimming at Marley Beach was amazing and quite private! The kids had a blast snorkeling all over Bermuda. It was great to arrive home in the afternoons and be able to take a dip in the water. The pictures do not do justice of the view from the outside deck...AMAZING - my friends could not believe that the pictures I took from the back patio and the master bedroom were copied from the internet...it took some convincing for them to believe that we were taking them from the cottage. The close proximity to the bus stop was a big help in cutting down on the cost of cabs. I can truely not say enough about how great this cottage was - the proximity to everything, the helpfulness of Steve, the space we had, the views, the beach...I cannot wait to go back. Lastly, Steve is close by if you need him but definitely not intrusive. He provided us with a phone to us during our stay - quite a gracious host. LOVED THIS PLACE!
Bermuda is a small Island, on 21 square miles, and Sand Dollar Cottage is nestled between two parks - Astwood Park and Southlands on the South Shore in Warwick. We are located between the famous Elbow Beach Hotel and Fairmont Southampton Princess Hotels, and there are many restaurant, entertainment and sports options available at these nearby facilities -- tennis, scuba diving, golf, watersports, and more. The bus stops at the bottom of our driveway are very convenient, and our guests enjoy riding the bus to Hamilton, purchasing a transportation pass which is good for the bus and ferries, and then exploring the Island using these options. Moped rental shops are also located near Marley, and taxis are readily available. It is only a 10 minute ride into Hamilton from Marley Beach. Those who have visited before know that Marley Beach is one of those truly magical places where memories are made that will be cherished forever.
