THE ULTIMATE UP-NORTH GETAWAY - SUNRISE RIDGE!

Mercer House Rental Photos and Description

3 bedroom, 2 bathroom lake home

Sunrise Ridge has three bedrooms. The master bedroom and a second bedroom are on the main upstairs living area, as is a full bathroom. The master bedroom is on the lakeside of the home and offers a comfy, king-sized bed and TV right in the room, as well as sliding patio doors that open out onto the expansive deck. The second bedroom has a double bed and is newly decorated. The combined kitchen, living room, and dining area have a cathedral ceiling and are decorated with knotty pine walls and ceiling. Deer and fish mounts adorn the walls and show off some of Wilson Lake's finest catches! Beautiful framed pictures, artwork, and interesting hanging decorations finish the look. The fully furnished kitchen features hickory cabinets and a stainless steel electric stove and microwave. Also included are a full-sized refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, and blender. All the utensils, cookware, dinnerware, and such are available for your use. Two more sliding patio doors enter the deck from the living and dining room areas so you'll never miss a thing when you look out to the lake.

Use the gas grill to cook your meals and eat at the large picnic table right on the deck. Easily accessible to both the indoor kitchen and the grill, you'll want to eat as many meals as possible outdoors

Downstairs you will find a third bedroom with a double bed, a cozy living room area, a three-quarter bath, and a four-season sun room with a pub table and wicker chairs, as well as a stereo. Picture windows allow you to relax and see the views of the lake from any seat in the room.

This home was built by us, the current owners, and has never changed hands. It was a labor of love that is evident in the fact that the house is always immaculate and very well maintained. We plan on making it our permanent home once we retire. Until then, we want others to enjoy it as much as we do when we stay there. In order to spend more quality time in Mercer, we even went to the lengths of relocating here and buying a bit of history, The Heart of the North Bar & Grill, which currently serves as both our main source of income as well as our residence.

Greg Geiszler purchased this house in 1990

Wilson Lake is a very desirable lake for those who enjoy beautiful scenery, wildlife, and awesome fishing. It's quiet and serene and brings a sense of peace to those who spend time here.

Nowhere else on Wilson Lake can you get this beautiful view of the lake, with the most brilliant sunrises you can imagine! The house sits majestically atop a ridge that overlooks nearly the entire lake. It's also conveniently located right next to the public boat landing making it easy to launch your fishing boat or pontoon.

Mercer, Wisconsin is a year-round wonderland for those who enjoy peace & tranquility and outdoor activities. Sunrise Ridge is located on popular Wilson Lake just five miles from town and five miles from the famous Turtle Flambeau Flowage. Sunrise Ridge is a privately owned, three bedroom, 1 3/4 bath, fully furnished home.

You will enjoy the views of the lake from the second floor deck that extends the whole length of the house, with three patio doors (even one from the master bedroom) that go out onto the deck. This vacation home is decorated in the northwoods style and boasts the best view of the lake and the most beautiful sunrises!

Wilson lake is a 155 acre, premier fishing lake in the Mercer area. Bring your own boat, rent the pontoon boat, or fish from the shore or dock. Wilson Lake is known for its abundant large mouth bass, crappies, blue gills, and perch, as well as muskies and northern pike.

Many eagles, loons, and otters have made Wilson Lake their home and playground. They are not shy about making appearances and entertain guests daily. Imagine sunning yourself on the deck and watching as the otters frolic on shoreline and the eagles soar up above! Or enjoying a nice warm cup of coffee while watching the sun rise above the trees and reflecting on the water like shimmering diamonds.

Take a short ride to the Turtle Flambeau Flowage and enjoy a miniature version of Canada's Boundary Waters which offers excellent fishing, bird-watching, site-seeing, canoeing, and kayaking. Take a boat ride out to 'Swimmer's Island' and relax on the sand beach or wade in the warm shallow waters. Don't forget your picnic lunch!

Mercer and Iron County boast hundreds of miles of groomed trails for ATVing and snowmobiling. As well as trails for hiking and cross-country skiing. Public land for in-season, small game hunting is also abundant.

Cook your meals at home in the modern, fully-furnished kitchen, or use the gas grill outside. Not in the mood to cook? Mercer and the surrounding area have some of the best choices for diners of all tastes. Fine dining to casual, just ask one of the locals, they will give you a rundown of the tried and true restaurants and bars.

How about a little nightlife? Yup, there's plenty of that too! Mercer has several bars to choose from, like the historical and ever-popular Heart of the North! Located right in town, this bar still has the original knotty pine back bar and is a throwback to the days when whiskey and beer were the preferred beverages of choice.

Maybe you're a history buff. Mercer has a colorful history that includes the legendary Capone family (many descendants still call Mercer their home). Rich with a proud history of the days of mining and lumberjacks, Mercer has memorialized these stories and more in the town's museum.

Quaint boutique shops line Mercer's main street for your shopping pleasure. Everything from antiques, to home decorations, trinkets and souvenirs for youngsters, and everything in between.

No need to 'rough-it' in the northwoods. Sunrise Ridge has all the modern amenities and comforts of home including free WiFi, electric fireplace, two TV's, a DVD player and stereo. The house is fully equipped with everything you need including sheets, towels, blankets, dishes, cookware, utensils, even a toaster and a coffee maker.

Once you get here, you'll never want to leave. Most people who stay once make it an annual trip and come back year after year! Experience it for yourself! You'll be glad you did!
