Bansko is Bulgaria's # 1 ski resort, having the best and most modern ski centre of all Bulgarian ski resorts. Bansko has the best snow record and a long ski season from early December through to the end of April.
The town of Bansko is located on 925 m. above sea level, and its skiing area is on 2000-2600 m. The Pirin mountain has a predominantly Alpine character and highest peak in the area is Vihren 2914 m.
It is just 160 kilometers away from Sofia (transfers take 2.5 hours) and 6 kilometres from Razlog. Bansko has developed into a favourite ski & snowboard destination, thanks to the excellent ski facilities combined with the unique architecture and history.

Golf: Pirin Golf and Country Club Bansko - Razlog , Bulgaria is the second largest alpine golf site in Europe with an overall of 36 holes quality alpine golf.
The first Bansko Razlog golf course - Pirin golf is designed by European Golf Design (EDG) as an 18 hole (par 72) layout, with the signature of 2006 Ryder Cup European team captain , Ian Woosnam . It is located in the municipality of Razlog . Its first nine holes were opened on 6 October 2007. The full 18-hole Ian Woosnam design course will be opened in 2009.
The second Bansko - Razlog golf course - The Pine course will be built as an 18-hole championship (par 72) layout. With the two 18-hole golf courses inside its boundaries, the overall Pirin Golf and Country Club complex will spread on 1,8 mln. sq.m.

Before packing your clubs, and heading off to Pirin Golf And Country Club, please check if you are eligable to play. Several reports are posted on internet that you can 'Pay & Play', but you may have to be a member OR enter a tournament BEFORE turning up.
Ski: Bansko is the all new Bulgarian ski resort, recently discovered by the foreign skiers and tourists, but well known in Bulgaria.
