For The Fisherman:
Rotonda is perfectly placed for keen anglers. With the coast and the coastal waterway right on your doorstep, backwater fishing and salt water fishing are available. For a relaxing few hours, there are good fish stocks in the waterway behind the house.
If you want to experience a day with Capt Jarrett Lombard who is one of the top local fishing guides, we can arrange this for you. He runs several flats boats and takes up to 3 anglers at a time and can provide up to 4 boats at any one time, catering for parties of up to 12 anglers.
The enthusiastic angler may well have seen Capt Lombard on the ESPN channel. He competes nationally in the Oh Boy O'Berto Redfish tournaments and his clients travel thousands of miles to spend a day with him. We can arrange this for you, subject to availability, but we do need to give him plenty of notice prior to your arrival.
For The Sportsman:
Why not enjoy watching the Charlotte Stone Crabs. The minor leaguers are the Tampa Bay Rays new Class-A Florida State League affiliate. Enjoy watching one or more games between April 11 2009 and September 06, 2009. For special rates and availability, please call us for more details. We have participated in a block of 8 tickets available on a first come, first served basis and they are some of the best seats on the ground.
If you are visiting Florida earlier, the American League Champion Tampa Bay Rays have their spring training camp at the newly renovated Charlotte Sports Park. The season opens on Wednesday February 25 against the Cincinnati Reds and runs until April 04, 2009.
For The Golfer:
There are plenty of golf courses in the area, but Rotonda alone offers 6 courses and our Golf Scoop promotion is perfect for golf enthusiasts. The 'Golf Scoop' promotion in low season offers up to 2 adult guests and up to 2 children under the age of 14 (each must be accompanied by a playing adult), unlimited free golf on 4 of the Rotonda courses (81 holes). There is a £35 administration fee and if golf karts are used, this is a personal expense.
In High Season, the Golf Scoop is a 'must' if you play two or more rounds of golf a week. In high season 2009, the cost in additional to the fee is just £35 per person, per week. In the 2009 Festive Season and the High Season 2010, the rate will remain £35 per person, per week. Still cheaper than paying for 3 rounds of golf a week!
