Photos and Description of the Kefallonia (Cephalonia) vacation villa rental Secluded 3 bedroom villa near the beautiful fishing harbour of Agia Efimia

Villa Ormofia has three bedroom, one double and two twin, all with ensuite bathroom and walk-in showers. The patio area is especially private overlooking the valley towards the port of Agia Efimia and on to the Ionian Sea. Our villa has a fully equiped kitchen and comfortable lounge area with open fire and patio doors looking out to sea. The area around the villa is very peaceful and has a rural setting amongst tall pine trees. Having a very traditional feel to the area, sometimes you can even hear the goats bells in the distance. A large brick barbeque has been built at the bottom end of the patio, ideal for outdoor dining. The villa is made private by wooden fencing all around the property. A private drive leads to the villa with a large gravel parking area.

Nearest Ferry: Sami at 6 Kilometres

Loukata is a small hamlet just up the valley from Agia Efimia, around two minutes drive away. Peace and quiet is it's attraction. Agia Efimia is one of the few small harbour on Kefalonia and although it has encouraged tourism, has still managed to maintain it's traditional style and culture. There are many tavernas, snack bars and coffee bars in the harbour and for shopping Sami is just up the coastline. Sami is famous for its' role in the hit film Cpt Correlis' Mandolin, as a large portion of the film was set here. There is a fantastic beach just round the corner Antisamo with fine white sand and shingle. For those who like adventure you may wish to try scuba diving or hire a small motorboat from the port of Agia Efimia. In the area of Sami are the Drogorati caves & Melisani Lake a couple of the most favourite tourist attractions on the island. Fiscardo and Assoss with their quaint harbour and Venitian architecture are only a short drive away. Don't forget Mytos beach 2 mins away

Villa Ormofia is lovely and had everything we needed for our two week stay. We were really impressed with how frequently the villa was cleaned (a lot more than previous experiences) and the flowers each time were a lovely touch. The location of the villa was fantastic - very secluded, peaceful and beautiful scenery.

Agia Efimia is a lovely port and we were able to get everything we needed from the supermarkets, butcher and bakeries. There is also some lovely restaurants to eat out in the evening.

We were in an ideal location for being able to travel around and see other parts of Kefalonia. It is well worth travelling around the island as there are so many nice places to visit.

The car hire company Kefalonian Homes use were great as they marked all the nice places to visit on the map and were able to recommend places to suit our needs.
