Patio doors open out of Villa Varkoula, onto an closed patio area expanding out with undisturbed views over the Xi valley and beyond. Sun Loungers, brollies and outdoor furniture are perfect for outdoor living. The colours are aimed at blending in with the surrounding countryside and area, whilst giving a warm summery feeling. The fully fitted kitchen has a large breakfast bar and has all the facilities you will require for a self-catering holiday. A two bedroom single storey accomodation having en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers makes this an ideal property for young families or couples. The bedrooms are spacious with double wardrobes and dressers. The kitchen/lounge area is open plan, light and airy. A fully fitted kitchen offers all the facilities you can expect from high quality accomodation. Villa Varkoula has a private drive and gravel parking area.

Xi beach is the only red sandy beach on Kefalonia and is ideal for families and non swimmers. Just around the corner is the famous Moving Rock (Kounopetra), which is not connected to the mainland but continually rocks gently back and forth. The Kipouros monastery is only half an hour away and is built on a shear cliff edge. Petani beach with its rolling waves, pebble shores and rocky outcrops (perfect for snorkeling), is not too dissimilar to Kefalonias' famous Myrtos Beach, and takes around 20 mins to get to by car. Don't miss the fabulous sunset, while relaxing over a glass of wine in one of the traditional tavernas situated on Petani beach. Another unique taverna is at Vatsa, where you can feel the sand under your feet while relaxing and watching the waves. In the village of Mantzavinata is the Vitoratos winery where you can taste the locally produced wine of the area. Lixouri town has museums and a vast array of culture, with architecture dating back to, before the 1953 earthquake
