Your own private resort. Each of the three Master Bedrooms has a full private bath. The upstairs living space includes a master bedroom that has a two person Jacuzzi bath tub and separate shower with full body wash. One of the downstairs Master bedrooms is bright and light and has a Japanese Soak Tub with shower, we call it the 'Giant Bird of Paradise' room. The other downstairs Master bedroom is cooler and darker, perfect for night owls who like to sleep in. We call it the 'Rain Forest' room. It has a marble shower with full body wash.
Views abound, both ocean views and garden & pool views can be seen from at least 85 windows. The upstairs 'Great Room' includes a fully equipped kitchen with award winning Miele appliances set in Brazilian Blue Bahia granite.
Dine al fresco at the teak table and 6 chairs that sits on the more than 1200 sq feet of Travertine deck. Relax on adjustable soft cushioned lounges.
If it is cool, warm up by either of the two fireplaces, watch a movie in the media room with snack bar. Do your laundry in the fully equipped laundry room.
The pool is large with four waterfalls and an 8 person spa built into a rock scape. Sit on seats under two of the waterfalls. Dive down to 10 feet at the deep end or sit in the one foot reef.
We have always loved Laguna Beach and we have always loved unique homes. Before our student loans were paid off we subscribed to Architectural Digest and dreamed of someday building a custom home in Laguna where nearly every home is one-of-a-kind. We honeymooned in Laguna Beach and visited every summer for years before we were able to make our dreams a reality.
It took just over a year to design the house and obtain permits. Building it took another 2 years. Then on December 15, 2006 our dream was realized and now our exquisite home is available for your elegant vacations.
The home is cozy enough for two and expansive enough to entertain up to 45 guests. It is close enough to the downtown Laguna Beach excitement to party and yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of neighborhood living, nature sounds, and amazing sunrises and sunsets.
We built it with about every amenity imaginable. It is an architectural masterpiece that feels like a private spa resort.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
At 750 feet above sea level you are literally 'above it all.' Ours is a quiet neighborhood that is just one block away from Moulton Meadows Park with its' lit tennis courts, basketball court, children's playground, BBQ grills and picnic tables, a full soccer field, exercise trail, and walkable fire roads to Top of The World. The view from the fire roads is possibly the best in town. You can see Catalina Island, Laguna Beach's Main Beach, Saddleback Mountain, Aliso Canyon, and Mt Baldy, all from one place. Redtail hawks soar above. The sunrises are at least as spectacular as the sunsets.
Victoria Beach, quite possibly the most spectacular beach in town, is just one mile down the hill from our home. It is where the iconic Lighthouse built in 1920's by William Brown sits. There are volleyball courts, striking cliffs, and tide pools, and a long stretch of flat sand to beach on. At low tide you can walk south from Victoria Beach to the neighboring Montage Resort and then on to Aliso Creek State Beach. If the tide changes, head home via Coast Hwy
We love the swimming pool! It is 35 feet long and about 15 feet wide with three waterfalls. Depths of 10 feet at the deep-end and 1 foot reef at the shallow end offer something for everybody. It is solar-heated year round and surrounded by a grassy area with stepping stones.
The home is essentially single level living. The master bedroom, library, great room and back yard with pool & spa are all on the upstairs view level.
Some guests say they never wanted to leave the home. But you really must get away. Visit all of the beaches from San Clemente Pier to Crystal Cove. They are all lovely!!! Remember that the Montage Resort, just over a mile from our house allows full public access to their beach and grounds.
Laguna Beach is majsetic cliffs, crashing waves, slick skim boarders, windsailers, paddle boarders, boogie boarders, surfers, people watchers, night life, foodie delights, and Art gallery exploration. Also be sure to pop in and see what's going on at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center 20612 Laguna Canyon Rd, Laguna Beach, CA 10-4 daily. We may be able to help you get Pageant of the Masters tickets with a little bit of notice.
