Cabin is located on top of the rushing waters of Bee Tree Creek, just below the spillway of Bee Tree Reservoir. Sleeping will not be a problem with the constant, relaxing sound of the water. The cabin is Eco friendly, with lots of windows, decks, infra-red heating. A/C is available but you probably won't use it. Families can wade in the creek. A fish pond fed by the creek waters and a warm fire pit are great places for cool night gathering.
Owner Brian Eckart has worked diligently to make 'Aqua Casa' a place for old time relaxation in an Eco-Friendly way. The house is on the power grid, but uses minimal electricity. The bedrooms and living areas are not huge, but adequate if you have to be inside. There is a nice screened in porch for morning coffee and ample decking to enjoy the crisp fresh air that the Bee Tree Creek area provides. Brian is an artist and his works are throughout the house and can be purchased if you so choose.
The property is a 10 minute drive to eclectic Asheville. Asheville is known for the majestic Biltmore House, a smorgasbord of great restaurants, Bele Chere Festival and its Beer City designation. The quaint and popular Town of Black Mountain is 15 minutes away. Black Mountain is known for its downtown shops and restaurants, conference centers and a variety of festivals throughout the year including L.E.A.F. a spring and fall weekend music and arts festival. Golf courses abound in the area, including the historic Donald Ross layout at the Grove Park Inn. Be on the Blue Ridge Parkway in 10 minutes, on your way to Mount Mitchell for views, hiking and picnics.
