Welcome to our home. When you arrive, you will notice that every level of this 3000 sq. ft. home supports amazing deck living. Ravens Nest has been redesigned to accommodate small and large family gatherings.

Every floor has a full bath with endless hot water, thanks to tankless hot water heat. The house is zoned for different age levels. As you enter on the lower level, the mudroom offers you a triage area where you can stash your hiking boots, ski boots, and other gear in the boot box. We are a dog friendly home because we recognize how important your traveling companions are to you. A crate, bed, dishes, towels and tie downs are always available for our 4 legged friends. A special feature on the lower level of our home is the 'bunkhouse', a huge bedroom with 4 dorm style beds and a game playing area. The young people love this area.

When you are ready to watch movies, grab your popcorn and head to the Theatre Room, also on the lower level. A 46 inch HDTV, DVD, and Direct TV satellite system will provide you a quiet and relaxing evening.

Moving up the beautiful wood staircase to the main level, you will be dwarfed by the beautiful floor to ceiling moss rock fireplace wall and cathedral ceiling in the Great Room. This room will become your favorite gathering place to enjoy cozy fires, read, converse, play games, listen to music, or use the Wi-Fi set up for movies or emails. The kitchen dining area provides an open floor plan with cupboards that are well stocked to make it easy for those who love to cook.

The two main level bedrooms are large and very well furnished. The large third floor bedroom with a private bath and balcony, is the favorite place for quiet reading or a getaway for those who want a little more privacy.

Go outside to enjoy covered and uncovered deck living any time of the year. Enjoy BBQing in the summer, toddy time or quiet time, gazing at the stars, or just viewing the beautiful mountains, You can even see Lake Pagosa one block away, peaking through the trees from the main level deck. There is a guest canoe waiting for you at the lake ready to launch for a morning of fishing or a leisurely paddle later in the day.

Ravens Nest offer you plenty of privacy in a quiet neighborhood. Shopping, restaurants, and activities are within 5 minutes of the house when you are ready to reconnect with the world.

If you are an athletic person or a family that loves the outdoors, every month offers you different sports activities. Spring through summer offers you thrilling white water rafting to tubing down the river through town. In the winter, ski at Wolf Creek ski area or have fun doing many of the trails to cross country, snow shoe, or snow mobile. There are many day trips to enjoy......fabulous boating and fishing on Navajo Lake, riding the Durango train, zip lining, traveling to the Great Sand Dunes National Park, climbing through the ruins at Mesa Verde National Park or attending a moonlight ritual at Chimney Rock. Guestbook comments from the owner

I will always remember a husband telling me that this was the 1st house that his wife didn't unpack her pots and pans because Ravens Nest had it all! Electric skillet for scrambled eggs and pancakes, yes.... tray to carry out morning coffee to the deck, yes...... tea kettle for those who don't drink coffee, yes..... every kind of spice, yes..... Thank you so much for appreciating all the creature comforts that I love to provide my guests..

Ravens Nest Spring Break Adventure

  • 5 of 5

We had two families stay at the house. We had an amazing time. From sitting out on the deck during the day to sitting around the kitchen table at night. The kitchen was nice and roomy for everyone to move around in with many amenities to use. The beds were comfortable and it was nice having so many bathrooms. The mudroom was especially nice. Everyone had a hook and boot box for their items. This kept the rest of the house very neat. All of our girls loved the bunkroom and theatre room downstairs and our son loved his own room on the top floor. This is an amazing place to stay if you want a nice neighborhood to stay in, close to town. Paula and her husband were very nice and helpful. We were planning to come back at Christmas and would have loved to have this place again but it was already booked out. I would highly recommend working with Paula, plus a bonus was that her banana bread was very good! We really hated to leave.

ski holiday

  • 5 of 5

Ravens Nest was ideal for our ski holiday at Wolf Creek and exploration of the surrounding area. It was like home away from home and we loved its atmosphere, layout, spaciousness and well equipped kitchen. Although it was larger than we needed for our party of four, we thought it well worth the treat and highly recommend it to small or large groups. This is a thoughtfully and tastefully presented home and easy to recommend.

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a wonderful stay at Ravens Nest. It's a wonderful home for families and well-behaved dogs. The owners have though through every detail from two coffee makers to night lights in every bedroom. The owner even brought us some banana bread! I highly recommend this property.

Great Price and Location

  • 5 of 5

We recently took a vacation with some friends and we couldn't have asked for a better place. Plenty of rooms, beds and it was clean on top of all that. The location was just far enough out to enjoy the scenery and close enough to jump into town for some fun. The banana bread that was dropped off for us was the BEST!. What a great place to stay! This place will defintely be on our list of "go to's" for future vacations.

The Ravens Nest....Best weekend ever

  • 5 of 5

The place was awesome, we gathered with family and friends for a birthday celebration. It was a very spacious home which gave you plenty of room to cook, sleep and have fun. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to make wonderful meals. Everyone loved the theatre room to hang out for a movie or some enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. Paula is an exceptional person, her banana bread is great plus she is understanding to pets are family too. We are already planning a summer retreat and it will definitely include the Raven's Nest.
