Local cuisine:
Sardinia is one of the most sought after tourist destinations, loved by International as well as Italian visitors, not only for it’s beauty, but also for it’s original and rich gastronomy, based on antique recipes passed down through the generations.
Each province respects it’s own traditions using typical products from that area. Thanks to the geographic position of the island, including the sea, lagoons, teaming with fish, and the hilly internal part, the typical cooking ingredients differ but at the same time are simple and natural.
STARTERS
The typical Sardinian dish which precedes lunch or dinner consists of local cold cuts prepared by the local farmers, these include raw ham, Sardinian goat’s cheese, olives, all garnished with fresh vegetables. It is also possible to find a starter which includes crabs, muscles, lobate, octopus, sea urchin, limpet and caviar.
