This home was a wonderful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy a gorgeous city. We stayed in the property with 6 adults, 2 kids, and a baby; the max that it could accommodate, but did not feel cramped at all. When we arrived we were immediately impressed with the beautiful fountain/fire pit courtyard area. It was very well done and turned out to be a fantastic spot to hang out at night. We made s'mores on the fire pit, and chatted late into the night around the fire.
The home itself was incredibly clean and nicely updated. The kitchen had all the amenities needed and then some. We liked that there were basic spices, oils, and other cooking supplies left for us to use. The front living space was cozy and warm; we especially enjoyed playing the Wii games with the kids and looking out onto the amazing deck. The three bedrooms were small but functional. They had comfortable beds and were nicely decorated. We liked that there was soap and shampoo/conditioner also left for us to use in the bathrooms. The outside deck was one of the best parts of the home! It was large, had a nice outdoor dining table, had beautiful views of the mission, and a fantastic hot tub. The hot tub was easy to operate and stayed hot for our entire stay. There were also very nice pots with beautiful plantings that were a really nice touch. We also loved the chickens and loved reading the info book to discover that they all had names! SO FUN!
The location of the house was also really great. Although we didn't walk anywhere, we did visit the botanical gardens and mission which were both fantastic! My husband and I were very impressed with the gardens especially. We also had a great time at Butterfly beach, about 10 minutes away in Montecito. We shopped on State Street and ate at some wonderful restaurants. We also did the Land Shark tour; very cheesy/touristy but really fun and totally worth the money (we wished we'd done it on the first day to get a better idea of the town)
It would have been nice to have fire wood provided at the house as it was kind of difficult to find in a city we weren't familiar with. We also thought that there could have been one or two more mirrors in the bedrooms to help everyone get ready in the morning, but overall, we would definitely stay at this home again. It definitely exceeded our standards!
