About Jan Probstfield

We live in Portland, OR and love the Northwest, especially Kirkland on Lake Washington. The ability to walk everywhere and leave the car parked is wonderful.

Jan Probstfield purchased this condo in 2003

Why Jan Probstfield chose Kirkland

What sold us on this condo is that we can leave our car parked for our entire stay plus it is on the ground floor, no stairs anywhere. The four plex is very quiet and relaxing, very peaceful. We can walk to the Marsh Park's beach on Lake Washington in less than one minute. We love the sunset and the Seattle and Olympic Mountain views across the lake. Downtown Kirkland has many special events and is an easy 1/2 mile walk. We have so many choices on what to do, it is amazing, between Kirkland, Bellevue and Seattle all are very closeby! Never bored here.

What makes this condo unique

No stairs, comfortable and quiet. It's an easy walk to dinner or if you prefer, try the many great picnic spots also very walkable. Barbecue on the patio and then watch the sunset at lakefront park. Pedestrian friendly neighborhood, take in a movie, live theater, art gallery, play volleyball, go kayaking, boating, SUP, or discover downtown Kirkland's shopping. If you want to drive 3 miles, Bellevue's unlimited retailers are amazing! A 15 minute drive +/- , gets you to downtown Seattle. Definitely, you won't be bored here. You can always sit and relax, watching the walkers and their cute doggies.

This was a beautiful location and such a lovely place. We had no idea that we would be so close to the lake. It was a wonderful location for a nice walk and lovely sunset on the lake. We were pleasantly surprised!!! It was also convenient to many great restaurants and shops. We loved the condo....it was furnished very nicely and stocked very well. One of the best VRBO stocked locations that I have been to. It was also conveniently located to downtown Seattle. We had a lovely time here....can't wait to go back!!!!

Perfect Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We so enjoyed ourselves at this quiet apartment off the lake in Kirkland. It was clean, well appointed and cheerfully decorated, with all the amenities detailed in its description. Jan was thorough in her communications with us and was willing and able to accommodate us for an extra night when we had car trouble.

There is the full living room, smaller galley kitchen, bathroom and two queen bedrooms with roomy closets. We used the washer/dryer combo to do a load of clothes. Parking was easy, and the best part, we left the car behind when visiting Kirkland's city center. Such a nice

walk!

Rocky start, but ended up great!

  • 5 of 5

When we arrived at 7pm from the airport the condo had not yet been cleaned from the previous tenants, however I called Jan directly on her cell phone and she immediately offered to put us up in a hotel for the night and have it cleaned. Because we have 3 small boys we decided just to change the sheets and stay the night, Jan had it all cleaned the next morning while we were out and took $100 off our stay and refunded the cleaning fee.

Wonderful customer service and a fantastic condo; perfect location, steps away from the lake and downtown Kirkland, we had a great time there, highly recommend!

Fantastic Spring Break Getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at this condo!! Everything was just as described or better. She left toys and puzzles out for our young daughters and they were so excited. Short walk to the lake and to downtown Kirkland. We will definitely stay there again. Jan was very nice and accomodating!
