Best Family Vacation

Wow! We had the "best" (unanimous family vote) vacation in Bovec and, as a result, are already planning to return next summer and, hopefully, this winter for a ski trip.
Bovec and the surrounding area have some of the most gorgeous scenery – the rugged Julian Alps, aquamarine Soca River, and meadows filled with grazing sheep. It is the perfect spot for various sports and recreation including: kayaking (lake and river), rafting, hiking, mountain biking, trail running, etc. But there are also interesting WWI memorials and cemeteries along the Soca Front.
First, the apartment was ideal - very nice, new, immaculate, well-equipped and situated. We are a family with three young children and the apartment comfortably accommodated us. While, we could walk to the center of Bovec, the house is located on a very quiet street with beautiful views to the mountains.
Second, the agency that administers the rental was very helpful and organized. We arrived unexpectedly late and after their office had closed; and they had the key, map, and verbal directions waiting for us at a local hotel. It was a very easy and smooth transaction. We also used them to arrange our rafting excursions and felt that they coordinated activities with a well-run, professional, and safe outfit.
Last, the friendly and warm Slovenians were a refreshing bonus. So, we are eager to return and we will stay again in this holiday rental.

Owner's Response: I am so glad the American family living in Stuttgart had best vacation in my holiday home.It reflects the view of all other renters who stayed in my holiday home. Also I am pleased that my agent was extremely helpful and provided out of hours service.
With My family we holiday in Julian Alps at least 5 times a year and have been doing so for last 4 years and haven't done everything that is on offer in Bovec and surrounding area.
It is so close to beautiful wine regions(Slovenian Tuscany), whole mountain range,sightseeing resorts and so close to 3 borders(no passport needed) All sports is at hand and ski lift just short walk away.Now we will be able to ski in Italy as well as Slovenia with the new link MtKanin/Sella Nevea.
I am travelling over to Slovenia next week to make sure that apartment stays in top condition so my future renters will not be disappointed.
I am glad to telephone any future renters to discuss their individual requirements.
