About Panos

I was born in Athens. All my life I was in love with Cyclades Islands and bought this land with the first money I made in 1996. I lived 15 years abroad mainly New York, London and Zurich studying and then working as a banker. Since 2002 I am back in Greece. The construction of the Estate began in 2006 and was completed in 2010.

Living in a villa with unlimited views of the Aegean, comfort, privacy and serenity for our vacation.

I enjoy the sunshine surrounded by the aroma of the wildflowers and local herbs.

The elegant decoration is of a simple Mediterranean style with a vintage touch. They are environmentally friendly and carefully crafted to the last detail.I really love this!

The bed linen is made of 100% pure cotton. The sense once i am sleeping is totally relaxing.

I personally plant vegetables, fruits, herbs, olive trees and grapevines in our gardens and grow them using organic methods.

The quietness of the landscape interrupted only by the sound of the “meltemi” breeze.

Spring in Tinos: Spring represents the peak of beauty in Cyclades,

full of flowers and aromas along with magnificent scenery. Love is in the air, so it is an ideal time to enjoy the particular silence and beauty of the island. As it is warm enough but not too hot, you can attempt your first swim in the sea, attend gastronomy courses, visit cheese making farms or even attend a Yoga class by the pool in Diles & Rinies. Average temperatures are between 16-28 °C, days are long, whilst on average it is sunny for 27 days in a month.

The healthy climate of Tinos: The north wind, blowing across the Aegean Sea (known as ‘Meltemi’ in Greek) offers a relief. Lowering the high temperatures of summer, the ‘Meltemi’ makes the climate of Tinos particularly healthy, as it is associated with dry weather, clear skies, a drop in humidity, improved visibility and a rise in atmospheric pressure. After sunset, in the mountains it can become chilly.

Immersed in nature, Diles & Rinies is situated in a peaceful area, only 3km from the town and the port of Tinos Island, a traditional, beautiful island in the heart of the Greek Aegean Sea. Overlooking Dilos Island, it’s easy to think of the story of Apollo’s birth as a way of explaining how this wider region has a long and enduring link with the sun. According to Greek mythology, Apollo was the God of light and the sun and he was also associated with medicine and healing.

The local fishermen call Dilos “Diles” (in Greek: Δήλες). Rinies (in Greek: Ρηνειές) is the island next to Dilos and many people find that it has the some of best beaches in Greece. Dilos is an archeological park and both islands are characterized as Natura protected and are not inhabited.

The Estate is only a 5 minute drive away or 20 minute walking distance from the nearest sandy beach of Agios Fokas and a few kilometres from several unspoiled golden beaches. More than 60 villages all connected by footpaths and with dining places and other small happy discoveries are all within easy reach.

HOW TO REACH US

Easy to reach, Diles & Rinies Estate is 20-25 minutes by boat away from nearby Mykonos International Airport, or 2 hours away by speed boats and 4 hours by conventional boats from the port of Rafina, the port closest to Athens International Airport. Fast ferries and conventional boats depart regularly from the port of Tinos to the main ports of Athens, Piraeus and Rafina and to the rest of the Greek Islands, offering visitors easy access.

A helipad, just 1 km away from the Estate, offers even easier proximity by helicopter. The Estate is 5km from the port of Tinos.
