Not as described!!
WARNING: This property does not come close to the owner's description. The term "resort" has been used many times in her write up. What this property amounts to is 4 shabby beach cabins, furnished with lumpy, plastic lined beds, that crinkle every time you move and worn thrift store finds for furniture. After a quick walk down the "pristine" beach... I called the owner to say that I would not be staying for the 2 nights I had prepaid for and could I please receive a refund for one of the nights... even though I had decided to leave without staying ANY. My request was refused. I felt my request for only one night's refund was fair. No dice. Again...This is NOT a resort, it is a run down dated property who's description and pictures are not accurate.
Owner's Response: Jill, I am sorry your expectations were not met but I strongly disagree about your view of our resort. Our 4 beach front cabins are built right on a very pristine beach along with our beach front Deli/Cafe The Shrimp Boat and our Eagles Nest Condo. Our resort is 4 years old with shake siding and white trim. We wanted to look like a true beach community..not modern. Regarding our furnishings. Each cabin is uniquely designed. Cabin #3 which is very much requested is furnished to look like a Captians Quarters. All the furniture are New. It has dark golden dapes with jewled curtain back holders. The furniture is black with a slight white wash. I am sorry you choose to call it thrift shop. The slight mattress crinkle sound was a protective mattress pad because you brought a small child. My mattress is new! You came in around 8:30pm called me at 10:30. Your first words were the neightborhoold is a dump, the beach is a dump and your cabins are a dump. I have never had anyone say anything to me like you did! I truely thought you were not in your right mind. My guest book in all my cabins say how amazing the cabins and beach are along with a bowl full of beach shells where guest have signed and said, GREAT PLACE..WE WILL BE BACK. Our Beach Front Cabains are Quiet, relaxing and furnished for comfort. We are a great resort! Our location is one of the best the North Coast has to offer. My pictures and descriptions are what we are...A Great Beach Front Resort! I am sorry you and your child did not wake up that beautiful sunny morning and see the pelicans rest on our jetty relics right outside your front door. You didn't get to eat breakfast with the deer that passes by or find any agates, seashells and beauty that surround our resort.
