Enjoy the Newfoundland experience in this beautiful 3 bedroom home located in the historic out-port of Pouch Cove, founded in 1611 and now budding with artists, artisans and musicians. Situated right on the cove overlooking the mighty Atlantic Ocean with the East Coast Trail at the foot of the garden.

Breathtaking views of rocky bluffs and pine clad hills from the many windows. Relax on the deck and watch the whales and icebergs or go for an invigorating hike along the East Coast Trail.

About Betty McMahon

Both my parents are from Newfoundland. Growing up we waited anxiously for our bi-yearly car trips from Ontario to visit family back home. Being one of eight sisters was a challange, but we always managed. We would cram into our Ford Meteor and make that three day drive, singing sunday school songs and trying desperately to syncronize our bladders, so as not to make too many stops!, My love for the island continues to grow and I'm finally able to tell you that I've achieved my goal to purchase my own 'piece of the rock'. I hope you love it as much as I do.

Only 20 minutes to the airport and St.John's, this location is ideal. The East Coast Trail runs right behind the house and the ocean views are just incredible. Everything I've ever dreamed of is here at Oceanside Suites!

What makes this house unique

Whale watching, icebergs and the many varieties of sea birds are all just outside your window! I would be hard to find views any better than here!

A quiet out-port town founded in 1611, there is so much history in this community. Still small enough to get that true Newfoundland experience but only minutes to the city life of St. John's.

From the moment you pull into the driveway at 608 Main Road, Pouch Cove, Newfoundland you KNOW that you are home.

A beautiful 2 story blue house with white trim and a shiny red door welcomes you into the cozy, comfortable and stunning home. Upon entering, you immediately notice, the warm tones, and rich wood throughout the living and dining rooms. Vaulted ceiling and staircase up to the loft bedroom with it’s own ensuite, with an overlook balcony.

The living room, complete with gas fireplace, big screen TV, comfortable furnishings are perfect for you to enjoy an outstanding view of the ocean front. A full balcony allows you to sit outside, to watch the whales, experience the crashing of the waves, and the ever-present rainbows.

A beautiful dining room, again with a full view of the ocean is the perfect place to entertain or have a quiet personal dining experience.

A fully equipped, cheerful kitchen has a pass through to assist in easy entertaining. Also located on the first floor, a welcoming, beautifully appointed bedroom and a full bathroom.

Heaven on earth

The property was breath taking with a beautiful view of the ocean. It was spotless & very well maintained. There are trails for the hikers, whales for the watchers & peace & tranquility for those that simply need to recharge. The property is close to the airport & all amenities. I would highly recommend this property & I am hoping to return myself in the near future.

Wonderful house in Pouch Cove

We were very lucky to have found this vacation home as most places were closed for the fall and winter season. We wanted a place with a beautiful view and something close to the East Coast Trail. We got everything we were looking for and more. The house was very spacious but still cozy enough for the two of us. The view of Pouch Cove is amazing and the East Coast trail is just steps away. In the evening we were treated to the view of the neighbours pony on the misty hill. I took off on foot for hours everyday along the trail and was overwhelmed by the beauty of the place. The house is beautiful, clean, spacious and fully equipped. The owner was very communicative and helpful in answering our questions. We would love to return someday with friends and family.

Breathtakingly beautiful suite on the ocean

I stayed at Oceanside Suites for 1 week during the end of August. I cannot begin to express how much I enjoyed my stay. The accommodations were immaculate and nicely decorated. All of the beds were clean and comfortable. Falling asleep listening to the ocean was the best sleep I've had in years. It was very close to all attractions and amenities so sight-seeing was made simple. With the East Coast Trail right outside the backdoor we were able to hike as much as we liked. I highly recommend staying at Ocean Side Suites. Thank you for sharing your lovely home! We'll recommend it to all our family and friends!
