The owners are antique dealers with stores in Washington DC and Palm Beach, Florida. Their primary residence is in Washington DC, but they are widely travelled and also have an apartment in Bangkok.
We looked all over Provence and Tuscany for two years. The house was not on our agent's list, but we passed it on the road and saw the For Sale sign. We asked to see it and it was an instant coup de coeur. Many houses in Provence have small and rather dark rooms, to protect against the Mistral in winter, but this house had spacious bright rooms, high ceilings with beams and a 180 degree view of the valley and Luberon mountains that is like a theatre - we can sit for hours watching the light change over the valley and never tire of seeing it in different seasons and times of the day and night.
Wait till you see the view and sit on the patio sipping a cold summer Rosë in the evening.
