Hi, both my husband Mike and I were born and raised, met, married and raised our three beautiful children in this wonderful city. I am a 4th generation San Franciscan. Our early 1900's home boasts of vintage charm and warmth for all those that visit. Come see for yourself !
There were originally two houses built in the West Portal area in the early 1900s, ours still proudly stands, the other was destroyed. This house has survived numerous earthquakes.
We loved our stay on this cute street. The garden is absolutely amazing and we actually enjoyed the rain ! It never rains where we are at. Though our trip was cut short for work, we really enjoyed our time staying here. The location is very good within walking distance to transit, restaurants. We definitely will recommend your place to our family and friends and would stay here again. Thank you,
We loved staying at Linda and Mike's place and will definitely stay again on our next trip to San Fran! The location is fantastic, with the Muni just a few blocks away and within half an hour you're right downtown. When you finish your day exploring the city, you come back to a quiet and comfortable place and a great night's sleep. there's a great little garden area in the back just off the suite to just sit back and relax and every morning there was a little unexpected breakfast treat in the kitchenette.
We are a married couple, and this condo was perfect for our us in our short stay in San Francisco. The condo has a nice queen bed, a couch and a large screen TV in the main room. There is also a separate area with a small table, Microwave, small fridge and Keurig coffee maker. Perfect for a morning breakfast to get the day started. The bathroom is very nice with a good shower. There is also a nice deck outside. The location is great, outside the busy part of the city, but easy walking distance to mass transit and several good restaurants. You don't need a car, but there is available parking on the street. During week-days, parking is $8/day to park your car if you leave it for more than 2 hours. Linda will provide the voucher for the parking. She also provides great pastries for the morning. We would highly recommend this condo.
What an adorable place Linda has. We absolutely loved it. Linda also left treats everyday which were delicious and very much appreciated. The location was close to everything. Would definitely recommend this suite. We stayed for almost a week and were very comfortable.
We were moving my son to college and could not have selected a better property. This was our first stay in West Portal and in this home. Upon arrival the owner welcomed us and explained all the features and gave us some great local tips for dining and sightseeing. The property was very well maintained with every comfort. In addition we were provided with fresh pastries and orange juice daily. We had our privacy and enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend this home away from home.
Great location with easy access to all of SF via West Portal station (SF MUNI is very easy and cheap to use). The suite is clean, organized, comfortable, in a nice part of town and we felt extremely safe staying there. Would definitely stay here again.
The only possible down side is you for have a full kitchen. However you get a small refrigerator, coffee machine and electric water kettle; the owners are fantastic about restocking you with clean dishes and flatware.
A very clean, beautifully decorated studio with a wonderfully quiet deck.
Breakfasts of fresh fruit and pastries were there when we had returned in the late morning after our jaunts about the W. Portal neighborhood.
The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was amazing. Though we did not use the tub, (California is in a drought right now) the shower was beautiful and all the fixtures are gorgeous.
We really liked the fact it was so close (walking distance) to some very good resturaunts. The on street parking situation was no problem either as long as you pay attention to the street signs.
Thank you Linda for such a lovely stay.
Our house is in the upscale residential neighborhood of West Portal nestled between two prominent areas of St. Francis Wood and Forest Hill. It has the highest rate of private cars and lowest rate of crime in S.F. The area has been recognized as one of the safest in San Francisco by the SFPD. The district is named for the western portal of the Twin Peaks Tunnel which opened for business 96 years ago.
