Le Morduis has been renovated with couples in mind. Overlooking open fields on the edge of a village with shop and bar, this is a great place for active or relaxing breaks for couples. The beamed living -room has a wood-burning stove, comfortable settee, dining area, television with satellite TV and DVD player. There is also music centre for those relaxed evenings. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to cater for yourselves, with a full dual-fuel cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine and even a dishwasher - no arguments after dinner! Upstairs is a huge dual-aspect bedroom with dressing-room off leading onto the Roman-style bathroom, with jacuzzi bath and separate spa shower. The property is centrally heated for the cooler seasons Relax in the pretty, private, courtyard garden. Barbecue and eat al-fresco on the deck over the pond, to the sound of the trickling fountain, or sunbathe, topless if you want, on the sun-loungers - nobody can see you!

Located on the border of Calvados and the Orne, Le Morduis is situated between the towns of Falaise and Argentan both of which have plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to make your holiday fun. Falaise was the birthplace of William the conqueror and is a delightful market town, full of history, not only from the 11th century,but also from the second world war. Argentan was a centre for lace-making and has a pretty main street leading down to the river. Further afield are the landing beaches of d-day, with many associated museums and sites. The thriving city of Caen makes a great day out with museums from the time of the Conqueror to the second world war, as well as great shopping.Bayeux and its tapestry are also easily accessible for a day out. For active holidays the area can offer riding, biking, golf, canoeing, rock-climbing and swimming,or if you fancy a more laid-back approach, the pretty countryside provides plenty of opportunity for rambling and picnicking. Notes: Designed with couples in mind, le Morduis has a steep original staircase, making it unsuitable for the infirm and small children. Small, well-behaved dogs are welcome and the enclosed courtyard makes it safe for them - although they may try bathing in the pond!
