'La Suite home' is a quiet, bright and unique top floor apartment situated in the historical center of Florence, just a few meters away from Santa Croce Church and Michelangelo's home. It is located very near the most important monuments and museums in Florence and in a neighborhood characterized by a colorful market, shops and restaurants. The apartment is on the 4th and last floor of a historical building, and from the window you can admire the wonderful view of Santa Croce Church and the tower of the Palazzo Vecchio.
My name is Marco and I was born in Rome but always lived in Florence. I am a teacher of history and geography. I hope to all those who came in my apartment will always remember Florence and to stay in my home will be part of this memory.
Marco Tufariello purchased this apartment in 2011
Loved the apartment! Welcome basket with wine, juice, coffee cake etc. was a welcome touch. Bed is comfy, plenty of room to relax in Living room or kitchen. Easy walking distance to all sites in historic area. Can see San Croce from window, but still quiet and lots of good places to eat even tho "tourist" area. Marco was very easy to work with and we would love to stay here again!
Have stayed here twice now and I love the place. Very cosy with lots of nice details. Views from the window on Sta Croce. A great plus is the quiet bedroom in the back! Marco is very hospitable and most accommodating with arrival times (after my flight had a 3 hour delay).
We loved it from the minute we stepped in. Marcus was very helpful with luggage as the apt. is on the 4th floor with no elevator; yet the walk up helped washed down calories. If and when I go again, I will stay in the same place. Loved it!
My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay at Marco's flat. We had everything that we needed. Percolator with coffee and milk that Marco provided, a very comfortable bed, and even a washing machine! No dryer, but a drying rack and clothes line out the window. The washing machine was key for us because we were in Italy for over 2 weeks, and no other place that we stayed at had a washer. The flat is in a GREAT location. We were able to walk everywhere with no problem. Sante Croce church and the piazza are literally a half block away. Yet the flat is very quiet. Marco was available if we needed him. Wifi worked well in flat, so we were able to text Marco via WhatsApp if we had questions. Besides milk for coffee, Marco also had a coffee cake for us on the table when we arrived :) I would definitely recommend this property, as long as you have no mobility issues. There are LOTS of stairs to get up to the flat. We personally were not bothered by them, but the numerous stairs might be a problem for some. Pack light if you can! Our big ol' suitcases were not fun to carry upstairs when we arrived! ;) Oh, and the price was right!
Everything about this apartment was so lovely. Marco was incredibly accommodating and went out of his way to make sure my stay went well. I loved the location. The apartment itself was charming - bright, well-stocked, great for 1-2 people. I would definitely stay here again. Grazie mille Marco!
My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at Marco's flat. It is centrally located and easy to find with Santa Croce so close by. Everything is within walking distance and if needed the small buses come by Santa Croce Square which is 2 minutes from the flat. Marco was very welcoming and helpful. He shares a very good restaurant for pizza as well as the best gelato place in town. (A must to know) The only thing to be aware of is the 81 steps required to navigate before arriving at the flat. Good exercise, but my husband's knees were causing him some grief so this was a challenge for him. The flat itself is very comfortable. The kitchen is not set up for making big meals but it worked. Also located to a market 2 blocks away. I would highly recommend Marco's flat for location, cleanliness, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. All the comforts of home away from home. It was very quiet as well with lots of windows to open and air conditioning, if needed. Thank you Marco for making our stay in Florence so enjoyable.
