We had the best Thanksgiving with out-of-state relatives at the lake. The kids had a ball with all the games and everyone had fun in the hot tub while it was snowing. Oh, and the fire in the fireplace was really cozy. By the way, the highway department did a good job plowing the road. We did take Keith's advice and parked at the top of the driveway.
There is everything you might want at this place; you could literally arrive with a bathing suit, a little food, and beer. The place is well-stocked with spices and general kitchen supplies like foil and saran and ziplocs, and if it's not there, the little store down the road has a good variety. That's where we got our Christmas tree cutting permit and mayonnaise (although it turns out the refrigerator already had mayonnaise).
I'm sure the cabin is fun in all seasons--we sure liked the snow. I would love to come back during the summer with a boat, especially during a sockeye season. This would also be a great home base for hiking since it is so close to lots of good trails and a lot more sun than we're used to on the west side of the mountains. Oh, and it's pretty close to the 59er Diner, and that's the place to go for a good milkshake. Thank you Keith and Tammy.
