Photos and Description of the La Gomera vacation rental Renovated old town house in small fisher village - great terrace - 4 bedrooms

This special house of 130 m2 is situated in the middle of Playa Santiago, only 250 meters from the beach. It has a great top terrace, from where you overlook the sea, the harbour and the town. The house itself consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 with double beds - and 2 with each 2 single beds. Kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, fridge/freezer and electric stove and oven, and an electric kettle - living room - patio - and bathroom. As the house has a flat roof, the top terrace is 120 m2, leaving lots of space to enjoy the sun and the view. At the moment we are fixing up the terrace with new tiles and a pérgola with a tiled roof, which shall cover half of the terrace, giving a nice shade and a nice place to spend the wonderful warm evenings. This entrance door to the house is the patio door, so once you are in the patio you are inside the house. The center of the house is open, so walking from one room to the next is out in the open. Perfect, different, and secure nice fresh air.

Our house is situated in the middle of the little fisher village, Playa Santiago on La Gomera - La Gomera being one of the real pearls of the Canary Islands. La Gomera is the second smallest of the Canary Islands. Although being small the island is extremly diverse, having a dry south side, where the sun always shines, and a north side where it's lush and green - and rainy. On the top of the island we have a National Park - where the only rain forrest in europe is located. Up here it's always rather cold - so do bring a sweater when going. In the park you have the highest point of the island. From the top you can see La Palma, El Hierro, Tenerife, and sometimes even Gran Canaria - on a clear day.

Additional information about rental rates

  • When booking a deposit of 30% is to be paid.
    The remaining 70% must be paid minimum 30 days before the rental period starts.
  • If you cancel your reservation more than 30 days before your booked period starts, you loose your deposit.
    If you cancel your reservation later than that, you must pay 50% of the rental sum.
    If you do not pay the remaining 70% in time, we are allowed to cancel your reservation without refund of the deposit.
  • If only 1-2 persons stay in our house, we grant a discount of 15%.
    If 2 weeks in one sequence are booked we grant a discount of 30% on second week.

    We are willing to negociate a very good price for booking of 3 weeks or more in summer-2010 period as from July 1 until Sept 30.

Cleaning after renting the house.: The house is of course clean - with clean bed linen, towels etc - when you arrive. When you leave you have 2 options: - either you do the cleaning and washing yourself, - or you advise us to do the cleaning and washing for you. If we do the cleaning and washing, the extra charge will be euro 100. This amount shall be paid in advance together with the rent payment.

Vacation with sun guarantee: In the month of August, 2009 we are making a special offer of a 4 weeks' rental for 2.000 euros totally. Flexibility in either end of the period is possible. The same goes for the period from mid October to mid November, 2009.

Other Activities: La Gomera is famous for it's wonderful hikes!
