The Most Beautiful, Most Exotic, Natural Surroundings located in Cabarete
I recently stayed at Tropical Sueno for 6 weeks--April 15th, 2012 until June 4th,2012. I must say, of all the places i've stayed in the Dominican Republic--too numerous to mention here--this location was the most exotic, most natural (surrounded by a natural lagoon that borders the property), and most beautifully landscaped location i've ever experienced in all of travels.
For those unfamilair with Cabarete, Tropical Sueno is located within the confines of "Pro Cab," bordering right up against a natural lagoon filled with fauna and tropical birds and flowers that is right out of the biblical Garden of Eden. The landscaped surroundings of Tropical Sueno are beautifully orchestrated and blend in naturally with the surroundings. There is a polite, young handyman, Joel, running around and is at the service of the guests for everything from carrying water up to one's apartment to relocating or fixing things. Joel is a true gem, and has one of the nicest personality dispositions of anyone i've met. Which brings me to the owner of the Tropical Sueno, Jonny.
Jonny is a true English gentlemen. He retrieves his guests from the nearby Puerto Plata airport and delivers them promply at the end of their journey. Jonny is always at the service of his guests for everything from airport retrieval to carrying 35lbs 5 galloon water jugs up to his guests rooms whenever his handyman, Joel, is busy attending other chores. There's a lovely French couple renting one of the apartments downstairs and they always greet guests with "Good Morning" and "Good Evening." They are beautiful people, friendly people, but regretably, I never caught their name.
Within the confines of Tropical Sueno is one of the most beautifully landscaped surroundings i've ever seen--tall palm trees, flowers, water reeds, cats tails, and assorted fauna that pepper the landscape--a true masterpiece of sculpturing--with a winding walkway that winds its way from the street all the way upagainst the bordering cats tails of the lagoon.
In conclusion, i highly recommend Tropical Sueno to anyone looking for a laid back, relaxing, exotic location that is easy on the eyes and easy on the budget, I know that I look forward to returning in the winter where i long to see the likes of Joel, Jonny, and the beautiful French couple. I give this place an easy 10 out of 10 for price, location (5 minute walk from the ocean), and exotic surroundings. a true gem of Cabarete.
Sincerely, Frank G

Owner's Response: Many thanks for this, Frank. You're welcome back any time! It makes all our efforts seem worthwhile. Just in the interests of complete honesty, I would say the walk to the beach is nearer ten minutes than five, for all but the most athletic! Jonny
