Cowrie House is a superb, detached beach bungalow offering excellent holiday accommodation and is situated in the beautiful coastal resort of Croyde. You will be within short walking distance to Croyde’s sheltered sandy bay with spectacular views across the bay to the dramatic Lundy Island. The village boasts a highly recommended 17th century inn, post office, ice cream shop, several surf shops and quality eateries. There are many walks in and around the village; follow the South West coastal path to Baggy Point with breathtaking views. Visit Lynton and Lynmouth which form part of Exmoor National Park. Other family attractions in the area include the Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Exmoor Zoo, The North Devon Farm Park and Watermouth Castle. If you wanted to stay closer to home, you can enjoy a BBQ or sundowners on the large raised decking area approached via steps, the beautiful garden, nearby horse riding school and water cascade centre.

The beaches at Croyde and Woolacombe regularly win awards for cleanliness and safety and are manned by lifeguards throughout the summer months. Most of the region appears to be untouched by time as sleepy, windy lanes reveal thatched roofed cottages and historic buildings and villages such as Lynton in the north of the region and Clovelly in the south. The village of Croyde has many examples of cobb walled, thatched cottages.
