Croyde Bay is a beautiful sheltered beach with the headlands of Baggy point and Saunton Downs at each end. The beach is flat with golden sand, there are some rock pools and of course the fantastic surf. It is the perfect 'bucket and spade' beach for children. Next to the beach are a cafe and shop, toilets and showers, car parking, a surf school and a horse riding school.
The village of Croyde is lovely with lots of thatched cottages and older houses. There is Crydda stream which flows through the village, near to the cottage, and out to sea. There are three good pubs (The Thatch, Billy Budds and Manor) as well as Hobb's Bistro for the more refined tastes, a couple of restaurants and various shops.
There are plenty of places to visit and things to do whatever the weather for all ages.
