2 bedroom villas capacity for 4-5 people up to 10 Guests close to the beach

This is a lovely two bedroom villas each with 2 suites. The property was recently decorated with modern and comfortable furniture, the villa is located in Madalena do Mar which is a small village located on the south west side of the island with several beautiful views of the sea and of the Madalena do Mar cliff's and thanks for the climate of Madalena do Mar makes this little village the biggest producer of banana in Madeira Island, this little small fishing village is true paradise in Madeira Island. Just a few hundred meters (200m) from the villa is the Madalena beach which is well know for its warm water in the summer or if you prefer just 5 minutes away is Calheta golden sand beach which is one of the best beach's in Madeira...

Travel: Airport at 35 minutes. Coach tours. Because Madeira is a relatively small island a rented car makes the 2 Madalena twin villas a good base also for sightseeing.

Entertainment: Madalena do Mar restaurant is one of the best sea front restaurant in Madeira Island! As well Calheta beach restaurants are very good. The houses provided a good base from which to tootle off and explore nearby villages and towns, walking during the day along Madeira's fantastic Levedas and whiled away the afternoons in the secluded garden sun trap surrounded by banana trees. Have double aspect views of the sea and the mountain and was filled with sunshine for morning cup of tea in bed.

Madalena do Mar one of the nieces villages in Madeira this place is a true paradise Madalena do mar is a small village located on the south west coast of the Island with beautiful sea and cliff views. Its name came from a legendary Polish Prince of the 15th century, Henry Allemão. He lost a battle in 1444 and was given land by João Gonçalves Zarco and established a great-populated farm where he built a chapel dedicated to the Saint Mary Madeleine.

Madalena do Mar is a characteristic fishing village with a beautiful promenade along the pebble beach. It’s location and accompanying climate has helped it to establish the biggest banana plantations on the Island.

Other Activities: boat trips, volley ball court, etc..

Golf: Madeira has several golf courses only 30 minutes away by car.

We had a terrific week at the villa, very clean and modern and well equipped. Fantastic views of the mountains and coast.

It was our first time to Madeira so we weren't sure what to expect - but were delighted with our experience.

Only downsides were that it could be slightly chilly in the evenings (due to the time of year) - mid April) and you could also hear the trucks transporting rocks from the nearby river to the road tunnel being constructed as part of the ER1 extension, this was quite interesting though and didn't really detract from a truly lovely location.

Villa was in one of the quieter areas along the south coast and only a ten minute drive from a well stocked supermarket in Calheta. Roads were good and it was a great base to access the western side of the island and also the north.

Many thanks to Ezekiel and team for facilitating, would recommend! A++

House was very nice, clean and well-maintained, the overview to liitle river, sea and hill behind river marvellous. Place was peaceful. A car was necessary because shops and beach were not near by house. Kitchen equipment was excellent. Bathroom was good, but had any shelves. Because of many rainy days there was not warm enough inside, so some heatings should be hopefully. In mornings it was very nice to sit on terrace on sunlight sipping tea. Location was good enough.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
