|Minimum Stay||3 - 5 nights|
Seaspray House offers two (2) apartments for rent with private entrances, private patios, and private entrance to Beach and Sea. The view from both patios overlooks the Caribbean Sea. You can hear the relaxing sound of the waves day and night. The sea breeze is cooling and the view is as good as it gets!
The kitchens are fully fitted with all appliances and the living and dining area is very comfortable and stylish. The bedrooms are air conditioned and there are ceiling fans throughout. Maid service is weekly (extra can be arranged if required). Other domestic services can be arranged (for example: a cook, driver, masseuse, or child care services).
Seaspray is just a few minutes walk from the renowned 'Fish Pot Restaurant' which is open for ocean front breakfast, lunch and fine dining at dinner.
If you want to experience a taste of local fanfare, take a 5 minute walk to 'Moontown' where you will find some great local food, comraderie and convenience store.
History: Seaspray House is owned by Les Conley Warner. The property was hand built by his parents, Joseph and Daphne, in the early 1950's. During the 1960's The United States of America had a Naval Base station in Barbados. The Navel Commander and personnel from the Base rented Seaspray House for several years during that time.
A decision was made to refurbish the house into villas in 2005.
Not sure where to start on this fabulous surprise birthday trip, I had planned for my wonderful husband that was well deserved. We arrived in Barbados on Dec 4th coming from a cold climate of 35 degrees weather to fabulous 85 to 90 degrees. Once we arrive to our Villa in St. Lucy, it was more than what I imagine it would be. The villa was a place like home but away from home with all the amenities, accept for the blue ocean water right outside your bedroom door; and the view was breath taking from corner to corner. The steps along the villa lead you down to a private beach. A few minutes from the villa is a wonderful beach called (Mullins Bay) which has lots of beach activities an eatery.
The night life and sights to see were plentiful, right up the street from the villa is a local supermarket where you can get grocery or have a bite to eat or have a few drinks or just sit and listen to music under one roof, where the locals and tourist come to shop and hang out.
Down town in the main City of Bridgetown is great place for shopping, activities and yes partying in a place that is called St. Lawrence Gap, where you can hop from club to club to hear different music of your choice. Our favorite place was McBride’s and the two for one drinks were good as well as the food. The music was off the hook with live entertainment or a DJ, depending on the night you go. We also visit a place called the Harrison Cave, which was amazing to see and I totally recommend it. I also took my husband sailing on boat called “It Wasn’t Me” which was a catamaran luncheon cruise that included drinks and snorkeling with the turtles and to top it off, the captain’s wife made arrangements to have a birthday cake on the boat and the crew & guess sang happy birthday, what a surprise to my husband.
My husband and I had a wonderful time and we’re thinking about coming back real soon and by the way the people in Barbados are warm and friendly, but most of all helpful, we really felt safe there.
If you’re thinking about traveling to Barbados, this villa wouldn’t disappoint you. Easy access to city transportation is great, if you choose not to rent a car, however renting a car was wonderful.
We have just had a wonderful stay at Seaspray. The apartment is very well appointed, very clean and well maintained and a perfect location. If you want to be away from the crowds but with great bus links, a lovely bajan village a few minutes walk and a posh restaurant within walking distance this is for you.
The property manage Trish is lovely, very helpful and is on the end of a phone which is supplied for your use. Also the owner telephone the day we arrived to make sure everything was all right. We cant wait to go back it was perfect.
Just returned from a fabulous week. Please note the pictures do not do this place justice. Comfortable bed, great facilities, perfect location. We were very sad to leave. If you want the real Barbados, this is the place to be. Thank you both and Tricia for a wonderful week.
We booked the lower level at Sea Spray for our honeymoon. All the interactions with the owners and Tricia, the property manager, were great. Leading up to our trip, all our questions were answered in a very professional and friendly manner. This was our first trip to the island and we truly had a great time. I was very impressed by the ease of the process, the outstanding service from Sea Spray, and the location and amenities at the villa. We soaked in the sea everyday at the house, and relaxed on the patio overlooking western sunsets every night. The well equipped kitchen allowed us to make breakfast in the mornings, and a few dinners, but this villa is so close to great food, that we ate out a lot. We highly recommend Merton's fish fry and Island Plates in Speightstown. The locals were very friendly, and the home was very close to local beaches. I can't say enough how wonderful the owners and Tricia were. We will remember our stay here for the rest of our lives, and we hope to return to Barbados soon. I would stay here again if we do return. Thank you Sea Spray! We wish you the best and much success!
Seaspray is fabulous. The position right on the Caribbean Sea is just perfect. The villa is perfect to relax in and enjoy either staying in and walking down to the ocean or looking around the island at The Fishpot The Lonestar Tides etc. etc. for fine dining. Up the road Mertons Fish Fry was delicious and so inexpensive as were Ju Ju's and The Ramshack for tasty lunches. We took a speedboat cruise to view the coastline and nearby Port St. Charles which wasn't to pricey and really fun. The property manager was so helpful and a really lovely person who was always available to advise or help out. The bedroom was air-conditioned but the lounge was not so don't know how comfortable it would be to sleep there on the sofa bed. Les the owner rang to ask how we were liking our holiday and we just said that it was perfect. The terrace needs to be altered so visitors can view the ocean from the sun beds though but we understand that this has been addressed and will be arranged. So, all in all we can't wait for our next visit to Seaspray.
Tricia and staff were very helpful, the unit was very clean and airy. Moontown about 200 yeards away was a good Friday night alternative to Oistens. Merton's at Moontown served great dinner! The beach was small, but I was the only one there. The bus line runs by the house out of Speightstown, while it is doable without a car, I would reccommend one if you will be going to Bridgetown or Christ Church.
The Fish Pot Restaurant and Speightstown are fairly close, within walking distance. The place was very peaceful and relaxing. This was the downstairs unit and is not handicap accessible, the unit upstairs is.
