Villa Oniro sits in a private plot of 3 villas, aptly named modea grove. The villa has been furnished with modern fresh design comprising of new fitted kitchen and appliances, smart lounge area with stunning large balcony with fantastic view of the sea. There are 3 good sized bedrooms,1 with kingsize bed and 2 twin rooms all have there own private balcony. There is 2 bathrooms in the villa 1 with bath and shower the other with shower. The pool at the rear of the property is very private and safe for children enclosed by boundary stone wall and fencing,there is beautiful trees, plants and flowers all around the villa.

The village of modi is somewhere you can enjoy the traditional Cretan way of life with the friendly locals, olive and orange groves all around the area with beautiful greenery and colour or you can travel along the road 1km and find Gerani here there is restaurants, bars & shops. Gerani has a beach, there are various water activities on offer, the bigger busier beach at agia marina is only 10 min drive along the road towards Chania. The paradise beaches of Elafonissi and Falassarna are 30 mins and 1hr drive away respectively. The Samaria gorge is great to see & there are many island trips on offer one being the famous island Spinalonga. Platanias is less than 10 min drive, here there is an abundance of shops, bars & restaurants.The restaurants are great for children as many of them have play areas.Chania is about a 20 min drive away, there you will see the beautiful harbour with all the tavernas, shops, market stalls and restaurants hidden down the quaint and mysterious lanes.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Villa Oniro this summer immensely. We were joined by our children's two friends for the second week of our holiday and all had a great time.
The villa is well presented, is large and clean. It is just a 15 minute walk into Gerani, where there are a few bars and restaurants. The locals speak English well and meals are good and inexpensive. There is a small supermarket in Modi, which is just a 5 minute walk away. The view from Modi Church is beautiful.

The villa is well suited for all tastes and the owners provide excellent customer service. Family members living next door ensure that your holiday is first class and offer advice regarding sightseeing, shopping, etc.

Our bbq's on the terrace, watching the sunset were spectacular and enjoyed by all!
