Villa Iremia is on the beautiful island of Kefalonia. It is a 2 storey luxury family villa offering a high standard of accommodation in a peaceful setting amongst olive trees within the beautiful Greek village of Lourdas. Villa Iremia has its own private pool 7x 4M pool. It comprises of 2 twin bedrooms (1 on ground floor) and 1 master double bedroom, all with luxury ensuite bathroom/shower rooms, fully air-conditioned bedrooms, large living/dining area with Satellite TV, DVD player and CD Radio. Upstairs lounge (with feature fireplace) which opens onto a separate balcony. Fully fitted kitchen with hob,oven, fridge freezer,microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The living area opens out to a patio area including sunloungers, outside dining table and chairs, pool and garden. It has a drive for 3 cars. The villa faces south toward the ocean and the island of Zante beyond.

Villa Iremia is located within the charming Greek village of Lourdas. Lourdas is located at the bottom of Mount Ainos and enjoys an exceptional micro-climate. The natural vegetation consists of cypress trees, olive and pine trees, but you can also see exotic palm and banana trees. Lourdas bay is on the south coast of Kefalonia and is one of the largest bays of the island and is fringed by over 2 miles of sand and pebble beach. The beach is within 800m walking distance down a steep incline through the village past the famous plane tree and natural spring, but the walk up is only for the fittest! In the village itself there are several restaurants, tavernas and small shops. Argostoli, the capital town 10km away, is a bustling cosmopolitan town with a lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Many an evening has been spent in one of the excellent restaurants surrounding the large square watching the exciting entertainment. Here you will find a range of boutiques and designer shops.

The villa is beautiful, in the most fantastic setting looking out over the sea to the Island of Zanti, We were taken aback by the fantastic layout and beautiful decor of the villa both inside and outside. The 3 bedrooms all have lovely en-suite bathrooms and have quiet and efficient air-con.The bedrooms upstairs all have balconies with gorgeous views. There is also a very handy lounge upstairs that has a balcony to sit on and enjoy the views while the children go to sleep. The 4th bathroom downstairs is excellent with large bath, very handy for use from the swimming pool. Even the view from the en-suite shower room in the master bedroom is fantastic - looking out over the mountain back-drop.The kitchen is well appointed with all new mod-cons and views of the pool to watch the fun! The pool itself is great. We had a fantastic time playing there day and night as the pool is lit up beautifully from dusk till dawn with lights under water! The BBQ was in a great position by the pool, great for cooking at home, although there are some great restaurants and bars close-by if you want to venture out. The island is beautiful, with dramatic mountains dropping down to crystal clear torquoise sea. The children especially enjoyed their time in the swimming pool, and we all said that this was the best holiday EVER! We look forward to our next visit!

Stayed at this villa with my wife in June while visiting my mother. The property is finished to an excellent standard(something you do not always see in Greek Villas). The pool is very nice and easily accessible. A car is essential if you dont want to walk back up the hill. The area has some of the best sandy beaches on the island (all within a maximum of 20 mins and a minimum of 2 mins). Plenty of tavernas and bars within a 5 minute drive or a 10 minute walk. What really set this place apart for me from the norm was the quality of the numerous bathrooms. They really are better than any you would find in a hotel on the island. One minor moan (and it is minor) was the lack of reading lamps in the bedrooms - something easily addressed for lazy people like me who read until they fall asleep. As an aside go to Trapezaki to the "Little Bridge" restaurant, its on the way to the beach and they make the most wonderful homemade dishes, including the fantastic icecreams the owner Mema makes herself! oVERALL WOULD DEFINATELY GO BACK.

6 of us enjoyed our week stay in this lovely villa. The pool was great with good poolside furniture. The car was essential for us, though we did walk to the beach and local restaurants sometimes (it is a very steep walk back). There are a good selection of restaurants and shops ( for food and essentials) in Lourdas. We had a lovely holiday and would have liked to have stayed longer.
