Summer at the Lake

My family stayed at this lovely lake house during the summer. The house and grounds are well kept, the location secluded and quiet, country roads are great for walks. Our children were 9, 14 and 18. Bedrooms were more than sufficient for everyone. The kids frequently swam in the lake, which is lovely for swimming, canoeing, or kayaking. One can do so around the entire lake. Water is clean and cool, perfect for a hot day. Kitchen and clothes washing facilities were available to make vacationing painless. Perfect for those that prefer to take care of their own meals rather than eat out. (Take-away and dine-in facilities are not far, for those that prefer a break from cooking.) We felt very much at ease; exactly what we wanted for a vacation. Hosts live just down the hill, are easily contacted in case of need, and exceptionally friendly and ready to please. Groceries are available within 15 minutes drive. The local library is also about 20 minutes drive away, in case you need a good book while sitting in the tree swing.
If you are looking for a chance to get away from city life, and to enjoy a vacation full of swimming and relaxing, I highly recommend this farmhouse.
