East Allerdean is situated 4 miles from Beriwck centre and 7 miles from Holy Island causeway . About a fifteen minute drive to Bamburgh with its superb castle and beach. Edinburgh and Newcastle are easily accessible by car or train, both about a 1 hour journey. The surrounding area has fantastic walks both on the coastal paths or beaches or in the magnificent hills.
There is a beautiful sixteenth century pub just 600 mtrs walk up the lane at West Allerdean that serves good food, and speciality beers.
Berwick Upon Tweed has many historic sights including the walls of the town and barracks that can be visited daily, and a Saturday market.
Other attractions include Cragside (the first house in the world to have electricity), The Farne Isles, brilliant for bird watching and there are boat trips available from Seahouses and diving equipment for hire at St Abbs just over the Scottish border.
