Located in beautiful Maalaea, our home away from home features an absolutely stunning ocean / marina view and is just a short walk from Maui's scenic Sugar Beach. With floor-to-ceiling windows that lead to your own private lanai, you can enjoy unobstructed views of the ocean and the excursion boats as they depart Ma'alaea Bay. The lanai also overlooks the salt-water swimming pool where you can catch some Maui rays!
Beautiful, newly-remodeled unit less than 50 feet from the ocean. Watch whales and manta rays frolic from your lanai. Maui's best surfing wave - the Freight Train - is 100 yards away. All this, and absolute quiet - other than the sound of the surf lulling you to sleep.
Walking distance to several shops, restaurants, the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium and Ma'alaea Harbor for whale watching and Molokini snorkel/scuba tours. The property is very quiet for a restful and relaxing vacation, but close to the many activities that Maui offers. It is 5 miles to Kihei, 8 miles to Kahului, and 15 miles to Lahaina. No matter what part of the island you want to explore, our central location leaves you only minutes away.
Since this is our own island home, we have tried to think of all the desirable amenties, including: a comfortable king-size bed in the private bedroom, a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living room, a 47' flat screen television, 32' flat screen in the bedroom, high speed WiFi internet access, telephone with free local and long-distance calls to the mainland, a fully-equipped, newly-renovated kitchen, beach chairs, beach mats, and beach towels. A clothes washer and dryer is located on the premise just steps away from the unit.
Just a short walk away Ma'alaea Harbor Shops offers several casual sit-down restaurants like Beach Bum's Bar & Grill and Porto flame-fired artisan pizza, as well as Fine Dining options like Buzz's Wharf and Seascape. For quick bites and picnics Tradewinds Deli (next door) offers made to order sandwiches and daily hot dish specials. The Ma'alaea General Store opened in September 2012 and is an excellent coffee shop, deli and grocery store.
A small local beach park a few blocks down the road marks the beginning of the well-known Sugar Beach. You can walk unobstructed for several miles to Kihei along this lovely sandy stretch.
