About Daniella Stromberg

As native New Yorkers, we can keep pace with the best of them...but have spent the last several years wondering why? The beauty of nature is truly what feeds and motivates us. So we decided to divide our time between the city and the North Fork.

Daniella Stromberg purchased this house in 2012

Why Daniella Stromberg chose Cutchogue

Although we are new to the North Fork, our house is a real home. This part of Long Island has nostalgic memories from a sweet childhood in Northport. The charm from then is alive in Cutchogue. We look forward to helping you build wonderful memories at this house.

What makes this house unique

This house is perfectly located for you and your family to enjoy all that the North Fork has to offer. Nearby are award winning wineries- just a lovely bike ride away, the historic towns of Southold and Orient, and the old whaling town of Greeport, from which you can travel by ferry to Shelter Island, Sag Harbor, and then on to Easthampton. From Orient, the easternmost tip of the North Fork, ferries travel across Long Island Sound to New London, Connecticut. For shoppers, in addition to wonderful antique shops Riverhead boasts a fantastic outlet mall to fit every budget and taste.

Rejuvenating experience in a charming getaway

  • 5 of 5
Being greeted by a handwritten welcome, bottle of wine & thoughtfully arranged s'more supplies, we instantly felt as if we had arrived at our second home.

As we excitedly explored each room we realized the immense thought and preparation the owners had put into ensuring our enjoyment and relaxation for our entire stay (which we took full advantage of!).

The house was well stocked and supplied, with everything being ordered in a logical arrangement. There was a surplus of recreational activities (bikes, single & tandem kayaks, horseshoes, croquette, fishing rods, charcoal & gas grills) amenities (beach towels, ample linens, skincare, full music library & books to be found in every room) as well as multiple guidebooks providing great itineraries, which helped us familiarize ourselves with the North Fork.

Being first time visitors we were given the tools to explore thoroughly all that Cutchogue, and surrounding towns, had to offer. For example, we rode the bicycles on a day trip through Southhold, Greenport & Shelter Island and kayaked out to the bay. We also enjoyed the local restaurants, antique shops (including the famous Beall & Bell!) and marveled at the multiple vineyards lining the roads.

Upon returning to the house after our day trips, our favorite outdoor setting to unwind, relax & restore were the crocheted hammocks where we could take in the beautiful natural Cutchogue light and green surroundings.

As dusk fell, we would find ourselves building a fire in the fireplace and eating our Weber grilled meals around it each night, cozying up with drinks & s'mores and capping off with lengthy late night chats.

We had become so connected with ourselves and each other in this house and felt so close to nature; by the end of our stay, we had a hard time letting go and felt so fully relaxed and rested that the prospect of returning to our metropolitan lives seemed distressing.

It was truly a restorative vacation. Highly recommended.

A cozy honeymoon weekend

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon weekend. When we arrived, the owners had graciously left a bottle of wine from a local vineyard and s'mores for us to toast in the fire. The house is so warm and inviting that we had a hard time leaving. We grilled out every night, snuggled in the hammocks and watched deer graze as we waited for dinner to cook. We eventually left for a sunset kayak ride- the marina is conveniently located across the street. The view of the glassy sound was so serene as we paddled along. We also took advantage of the bikes in the garage and had a lovely country ride to a few of the wineries in the area. The owners were always available for any questions, but the home was so well stocked that we didn't need much. We look forward visiting again but next time we want to share it with our friends and family.

Gorgeous home in PERFECT spot

  • 5 of 5
Found the place I would love to return to again and again. The owners thought of everything you could want in a beach home. Everything was beautiful and comfortable. I will think of laying in the hammock and my morning walk to the beach with my coffee the next time I am stressed at work. The pictures don't do this place justice.

Under-rated summer home!

  • 5 of 5
This charming tastful and well equiped home was the best vacation find. We came all the way from Michigan to stay and have already reserved for next year. You cannot beat it for comfort, including beds, level of privacy and how well equipped the home is. Everything is tasteful. You feel as if you're in your own home. There are fans for every room, central AC (rarely needed this), a well stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture and an abundant supply of towels, beach chairs, a private hot and cold shower, even umbrellas! The owners even left a lobster pot which we used, as the local seafood is fresh and fabulous. There are three separated outside visiting areas and an oversized table for the whole group to enjoy fresh grilled dinners. Close by are fantastic beaches, wineries, quaint towns and farm stands which offer a great variety of fresh picked produce and home-made baked goods and cheeses. The local shops and restaurants are a delight. Everything from family friendly breakfast places to more pricey dinner options. I can hardly wait until next summer!
