Location, location, location! You won’t find better than this!
The apartment is in trendy Fitzrovia, in the heart of the West End, a super central location with a villagey feel and Georgian architecture. The area was once home to such writers as Virginia Woolf, George Bernard Shaw and Arthur Rimbaud. Today it is a popular and lively neighbourhood with a residential and business mix. The numerous media companies based in the area feed into a trendy and vibrant buzz.
You won't get bored in the immediate vicinity. We have heaps of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and great transport links a few minutes away in Tottenham Court Road / Charlotte Street. There's some beautiful Georgian architecture in the area such as Fitzroy Square, a pedestrianised garden square. The gardens are open during the summer. It's a step from the apartment.
There is a good range of shops nearby and a huge choice of delicious restaurants and bars. Tourist London is easily accessible on foot or by tube. Several supermarkets are close by (including a good Sainsburys, Tescos, Marks and Spencers Food Hall and Waitrose).
Warren Street, Goodge Street and Euston Square tubes stations are within a 5 minute walk. Tottenham Court Road and St Pancras are within 10 minutes.
Being so central though, you can walk to all of tourist London. The British Museum is 10 minutes away. You've got Oxford Street / Soho very close by (a 10 minute walk), Covent Garden will take you about 15 minutes, Regent's Park about 10-15 minutes. Camden is a 5 minute bus ride. You can head in any direction and arrive somewhere interesting.

We are Liz and Jack. We look forward to welcoming you to London. We manage five holiday let properties in Fitzrovia, central London, as well as many long let properties.
We know the area well and can thoroughly recommend it for its central location, great transport links (although you'll probably be mostly on foot as tourist London is very walkable!) and wide choice of bars and restaurants. It's a highly desirable neighbourhood with beautiful architecture and interesting streets. People come from all over London to enjoy some Fitzrovia life. We're lucky enough to be based here and hope to see you here too!
We have been letting our properties for the past 8 years. We hope we've perfected a warm and professional welcome. We're very happy to help with questions (before or during your stay) or to tailor any trip to suit your needs so just let us know if there's anything we can do.
We look forward to seeing you in London!
Liz purchased this apartment in 2001
We love this property because of the fantastic terrace! It's such a bonus and a rare find in Central London. Lay out on the lounger and watch the clouds go by on an uninterrupted sky - it's a pretty unique view in London! It's always a pleasure to enjoy this secluded spot. Only the BT Tower, your own landmark, reminds you that you're right in the thick of the West End!
Location wise, it couldn't be better. The local area is buzzing but the flat is in a quiet street so you get the best of both worlds.
There’s a huge array of bars and restaurants in the area, including in nearby Charlotte Street and neighboring Soho. For entertainment, you have Theatreland close by, numerous cinemas, comedy clubs, late night bars, dancing and nightclubs.
If shopping appeals, you can shop til you drop in nearby Oxford Street, Regent Street, Covent Garden, Carnaby Street, Camden Market and Bond Street. They are all a walk away.
For outside life, neighboring Fitzroy Square is a peaceful and pleasant place to enjoy a sandwich and watch the world go by. Alternatively, it’s a 10 minute walk to Regent’s Park, a wonderful 410-acre open space offering stylish gardens with cafés, rose and wildlife gardens, a boating lake, sports facilities, an open-air theatre and zoo.
A lovely stay in a comfortable, well-located, quiet flat with everything I needed. All that was missing was a measuring spoon for the coffee-maker - those go walkabout in my kitchen as well! Others have described it very well; I'll just add that the flat is close to the British Library, and so very convenient for researchers.
This was the perfect flat for two, very centrally located, walking distance to so many museums and theaters, bright, airy, clean. We didn't really get to take advantage of the (big!) balcony, but that would be great in the spring or summer. Liz, the owner, was very very helpful. Really recommend it!
My husband and I enjoyed staying in this apartment in London for a week in August 2014. In the past we have typically stayed in B&Bs and small boutique hotels. However, having had an enjoyable stay in an apartment in Paris last year, we decided to try it again in London and were glad we did. We loved the extra space, the generally lower cost per night, and the immersion in a less touristy neighborhood. The apartment is in a great residential/business/university location and we felt very safe. There are convenient tube stations a short walking distance away leading north to areas like Camden Town or south to central London. Restaurants are plentiful on nearby streets and those we ate at were really good (although we never did make it to Honey & Co – darn!). There is also a Tesco grocery store a few blocks away so you can stock-up on food, snacks, and sundries. The flat is on the 7th floor with a small terrace where in the morning you can enjoy breakfast al fresco or in the evening relax after a long day running around London. The apartment was efficiently arranged and was quite ample for the two of us. The small kitchen was fully equipped and appeared to have everything you would need to cook a meal, but we mostly used the refrigerator to store perishable items and of course, the sink to clean up. Best reason to stay in an apartment: London can be an expensive city to visit and we were happy to save money renting a flat in a great neighborhood so we would have more to spend visiting sights, eating out, and shopping! Best reasons to stay in this apartment: comfortable, convenient, safe, and great management. In particular, Liz was quick to answer our questions by mail, was helpful in walking us through the rental process, and left a very complete binder on the dining table with instructions for how to use everything from the television to how to open the windows.
London is a city of regions and boroughs, some nice , some classy and some luxurious. Thus wonderful Holiday Flat gives you a taste of the luxurious in a classy area! On all sides you are surrounded by class! The millionaire flats of Fitzroy Square, Marleybone, BBC studios and Satchi and Satchi headqaurters for London, and wonderful Charlotte street with numerous fine restaurants and pubs! Full fridge and freezer, built in to the kitchen ambiance, full stove and oven, washing machine and dryer, dish washer, fine selection of wine glasses, flatware and silverware, coffeemaker and electric tea kettle adjustable toaster, and fine kitchen gadgets. The Living room has a wonderfully plush sofa, with wide screen TV with HDMI port for your laptop , Netflix , WIFI (fast), selection of current DVDs, several travel guides, and books and a lovely terrace with a full table and chair set for al fresco dining, as well as a out door heater for the cooler months! Bedroom has a wonderful firm bed another wide screen tv and adapters for US plugs.....Quiet....Quiet...Quiet sleeping environment! Just 2 blocks away to Tottenhan Court Road, numerous banks , supermarkets and eateries, walking distance to Soho, Chinatown, Mayfair and the British Museum
Apartment was clean, comfortable, well ventilated, conveniently located in area populated more by locals than by tourists. Well serviced by buses and Underground and close to several very good restaurants. All information provided by owner was accurate and relevant. Wifi worked, as did everything that we used. Highly recommend this apartment.
The previous recommendations we read were spot on! Everything was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and exactly as described. Liz was so generous with her time: available for our every question as we planned our trip, and then she tried to help us accommodate some itinerary complications we had, and she made personal touches for our comfort. When we had taxi trouble at departure, Jack made calls for us and waited with us until we got picked up. On evenings when arriving back after sightseeing, we would say "we're home," and that is exactly what it felt like! Thank you!
