Although my husband and I just took ownership of this cottage in 2012, it has been in my family since 1985 when my parents built it. Our family just loves the Outer Banks, particularly the northern beaches, so much so that we were married there in my parent's house, who retired here years ago. We are very proud of our charming cottage and are looking forward to sharing it with others, to provide a place for relaxation and peace away from the hustle of our normal lives.
As the cottage literally just finished a COMPLETE renovation, everything is brand new! It is sparkling clean and ready to be enjoyed.
Edgewater II is located in one of the original Corolla developments, giving it a true beach feeling. The neighborhood is lively with vacationers enjoying the beauty of the Outer Banks beaches. The Ocean Sands beaches are some of the best, and with multiple boardwalk access points in the area, they are some of the least crowded as well. There is so much to do near by other than resting on the beach. Shopping and restaurants are just up the road, along with a movie theatre, go-cart racing, miniature golf, and of course water sports. The Whalehead Club, Corolla Lighthouse, and also the Corolla Nature Center are also a short drive away. The Whalehead Club is a restored hunting club from the 1920s which is definitely a must-see. The club also hosts weekly wine nights on the grounds which are fun for the whole family.
