About Ruth Wiley
This cottage has been in the family since it was built in the 50's. Originally built as a hunting cabin, it has been expanded a few times over the years but still has it's 1950's charm. None of the family lives in Michgan anymore but we still love to come to the cottage once or twice a year. We hope you will enjoy it the rest of the summer!
Ruth Wiley purchased this cottage in 1955
Why Ruth Wiley chose Lewiston
This property is especially great for young families because there is plenty of shallow sandy water to play in. There is great 'fishing for kids' I call it 'kerplunking'!! You can walk or boat over to the canal and toss your line in and catch a little 4 inch bass or sunfish in a matter of minutes. The kids love it! Of course we throw them back so daddy can catch them when the grow up :-)
What makes this cottage unique
Our cottage is one of the few cottages on the lake with a sleepover boathouse - Even the McMansions cannot build this close to the water.
