The Ultimate Dubrovnik Experience

First of all, let me say that the pictures in the listing do not do this villa justice. Upon arrival, my family and I were happily surprised to see that the interior was very recently renovated and looked amazing. In fact, my wife and I stayed at the Imperial Hilton hotel in Dubrovnik (5 star) after our stay at this villa and we thought the villa should deserve at least as many stars, if not 6! The exterior needs a bit of work; however, do keep in mind that this villa is over 400 years old, plus, the breathtaking vistas from most of the rooms and the patio will quickly make you forget about the exterior. The "beach" access is very convenient. Keep in mind, this part of the Dalmatian coast does not have sandy beaches - the beach in front of the villa is rocky and has easy access via public steps built into the cliff all the way down to the water (side note - I would not recommend taking small children down these steps - there is a beach with easier child friendly access down the street from the villa.) My family of 10 adults and 3 small children (ages 2, 3 and 5) were very comfortable - we truly appreciated having 5 and a half bathrooms. We also put the gas barbecue grill in the patio to good use, Texas style! If you have a car, make sure to let the owner know you'll need parking - there is no parking at the villa proper. The owner helped us locate convenient parking close to the villa. We never used our car while staying here - everything is within easy walking distance (old town is about a 10 minute walk down the street and there is a Konzum grocery market within the same distance in the opposite direction.) We had an amazing and wonderful time in Dubrovnik, thanks in great part to this wonderful villa.
