This was our first trip to Bailey Island and we could not have found a better place. The house was cozy and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us. The kids loved the upstairs room with the futon and TV, and there were plenty of games and puzzles to do. The views are fantastic! I loved the upstairs porch with the settee and waking up to the sound of the ocean and the gulls flying around the lobster boats. The kitchen had everything we needed except a grill for pancakes. Also, a clothes line or more hooks for wet suits and towels would be great.
The island itself is lovely and quiet but there is plenty to do and see. We hiked the Devils Back with the kids and my 87 year old mother. Perfect hike on a perfect day! The beach in front of the house is a great spot to sit or collect sea glass. The swimming was wonderful at either tide, but incoming was the most fun with the waves. Boogy boards recommended for even more fun! The front lawn was great for the kids to play games on, and the tree provides enough shade when you need a break from the sun but still want to be near the water.
Thank you to our hosts, Jane and Paul, for helping us get settled in the house and for being two of the nicest people I have met. Hope to see you again next year!

Owner's Response: We loved having you here - you're the first 4 generational family that we have hosted! Thank you for the glowing review!! And the little issues you mentioned will be resolved by the time you return next year - hopefully...
Only thing we can guarantee is that the tide will come in and out!
