The Surroundings:
The beaches, the lake of Albufera, the rice fields, the mountain, the Xúquer river, l´Estany, the lagoon of Sant Llorenç, the towns of Cullera and Sueca, constitute the fundamental elements of the natural landscape of Las Palmeras and El Perelló. To South, the main beaches are the following: Mareny, at which an authorised nudist beach exists, Canopy, which is very well known for diving and sport fishing, the Racó, San Antonio, Jetty, Marenyet, lEstany and the Brosquil. Great LEstany is a natural lagoon. It constitutes an authentic paradise for the cane fishermen, taking into account the amount and quality of the eels, carps or lubinas. The Xúquer river is a natural space where is the only fluvial port of all the Valencian Community.
Places of Interest:
* The Lamppost' of Cullera: The lighthouse that serves to warn the boats of the existence of the end of Cullera.
* Sit on one of the many beaches that are located between El Perelló and Cullera.
* Aquopolis Water Park. The Water park, with attractions to suit all the family: the Niagara, the ‘black hole’ water slide, Himalayan descent, gentle water slides, kamikaze water slides and the lake of adventure.
Golf:
The famous El Saler golf course is 10 min drive away to North. It is possible to book and play. The course is tough and picturesque. The Spanish Open has been held here in the past. If you are prepared to travel further there are courses at El Bosque (1/2 Hour) West of Valencia, Escorpion (45 mins) NW Valencia, and Gandia.
City of Valencia:
At 15 miles North. Very interesting and historical big town with many historical monuments and museums such as the Oceanographic, the Hemispherical, etc...
