Casa Mia is a nice place to stay. Apartments are well maintained, spacious and appealing interiors. Just 2 minutes walk to Calngute beach, walk-able distance from nice restaurants and Holiday street. Calm and relaxing location. Hotel staff are helpful. Totally worth staying at Casa Mia.

Casa Mia felt like home.

I loved loved loved my stay at Casa Mia. The place was spacious, but still cozy. It really felt like I was coming home to my own place each day. Just 2 minutes walk to the beach and about 5 minutes to a great variety of restaurants and shops. Rojit, the owner, made sure everything went well. On site, the property managers were super helpful and it was easy to get advice and transportation. The local beach was a great - good bars and places to eat - a nice intimate size compared to Baga to the north. The layout and architecture was charming and a big step up compared with the boxy apartment units in the area.

Walks on the beach, glasses of fenny at the bar while the sun sets, jet skiing in the warm ocean water, shopping (scored a couple of sweet shirts), a trip to the spice plantation, kick off the sandals and get dressed up for a night in the casino, it was a blast!

Lovely location, well maintained and well done up property. Quick response from the owner (Rohit). Hassle free stay. You need to cook, but the kitchen is so nicely done up that you need not carry anything but the food items which are easily available down the road. Four of us, Couple and two girls and not to mention my pet dog, stayed for 4 nights and were very comfortable. The two boys looking after the property and 24X7 responsive and alert. For road trip users though there is no parking inside, there is enough parking in the lane outside.Overall an excellent stay and I would definitely repeat it.Though there is no swimming pool, the beach is close enough and there are quite a few swimming pools around where one can pay and swim.

Charming, well located getaway

We had a lovely stay at Casa Mia last week - we stayed around 6 days with our 2 year old daughter and liked how the apartment was bright and airy and cool inspite of the hot hot summer weather that had already set in outside.

The apartment is a bungalow converted to 4 separate units and each unit has a separate private living/dining room + kitchen(with gas hob/microwave/kettle+ cookware and crockery) + a nice large bedroom/attached bathroom(with shower).

It is 3-5 minutes of a gentle stroll to the beach front - and this is a reasonably quiet stretch of beach too. We started each morning with a picnic breakfast on the beach at 7.30am-8.30am. There are good supermarkets not too far away where you can stock up. We bought the 10 bottle carton of water from Casa Mia which simplified the water bit, but bought bread/eggs/butter and some basic stuff from the store. A good option is to breakfast at Lila Cafe in Baga which is a 5-10 minute drive away or Infantaria(better for taking away picnicky snacks because it can get hot in summer) which is just 2-5 minutes drive.

Hire a self drive car like we did(Rs 1000 a day for an air conditioned small-mid size) or retain the services of a friendly local taxi driver(which we did for 1 day to head further out). Shekhar who is the caretaker at Casa Mia will set you up with both.

The bedroom had a flatscreen TV and DVD player which helped us stay in touch with the world if we wanted though we didn't feel the need too often.

Bookstore Literati 2 lanes away is a good place to pick up new and second hand books.

The only thing we missed was a washer-dryer(a laundry service is available but with little kids you need to wash tons!), hope to see one added on soon :)

Overall I would highly reccommend this place to couples looking for a comfortable quiet getaway with non intrusive service or families with little kids who need the convenience of a kitchen/apartment...also good for singles who are looking for a place to retreat to maybe write or paint or get inspired :)
