Strandvue has been in our family since 1975. For many years, it has been our base to enjoy the Jersey shore. We love to come here with our family and friends

Ocean Grove is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP) in Neptune Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey. It had a population of 3,342 at the 2010 census.[3] It is located on the Atlantic Ocean Jersey Shore, between Asbury Park to the north and Bradley Beach to the south. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Ocean Grove is noted for its abundant examples of Victorian architecture. Ocean Grove is a wonderful, family-oriented place to stay. Nearby, Asbury Park and Bradley Beach have plenty of additional fun for both adults and kids.

Holiday party at Strandvue

Our running club has had a holiday party for the past 30+ years. This year we had it at Strandvue (1/6/13), with 35 of us attending. The consensus was that it was our best holiday party ever - due largely to the elegance of the mansion. Everyone enjoyed touring the house. It easily accommodated us for a sit-down dinner and then for "skit night". There were plenty of spare bedrooms for those who didn't want to drive home that night. Waking up to see the sun rise over the ocean was a special treat. We heartily recommend Strandvue, for a special function or a longer stay.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

Charming Venue and Baby Shower!

My mother and I used the Strandvue to host a baby shower for my sister in law. Elegant, cheerful, and comfortable- it was the perfect setting! The spacious first floor allowed ample room for our guests to mingle and enjoy the afternoon. We hired Jessica from Hearth & Table to cater the luncheon, and the large modern kitchen allowed her to smoothly prepare her exceptional food! We set up the dining room with an appetizer, beverage, and a dessert station, and transformed the formal room into a beautiful area for our 34 guests to sit together and enjoy their lunch with a view! We were delighted with the house and our guests agreed it was the best shower ever!

Amazing stay at Strandvue

A group of us stayed at Strandvue this past weekend. The place is beyond amazing! The house has a distinct, welcoming personality. The realtor, Nancy, answered all our questions prior to arrival and dealing with her as well as with the owner was beyond easy and comfortable. The house is old, but extremely well maintained. We needed a few things when we arrived and Nancy graciously provided them, and was always available to answer any question. Waking up in the morning to beautiful sunrises is more than anyone can wish for. I highly recommend this house to any large group. You will have privacy and comfort in an amazing location.

My September wedding

September 29th, 2012 my wedding of 50 guests was held at the Strandvue mansion for an intimate event. The ceremony was held in the living room area, cocktail hour and the reception was held inside and under the covered porch. EVERYTHING was beautiful and the owner and rental agent were very quick to accommodate furniture moving needs, as well as making the house handicap accessible for a guest. The pictures are phenomenal with the stained glass, antique decor, and beach scenery. We fit 5 families (18 guests). Plenty of sleeping space, pull out couches, blow up beds, and no one had to worry about bringing towels, linens, eatery, etc. This was such a memorable wedding/vacation/getaway. My guests felt like they were "in a movie," and nearby catering (Yvonne's catering) food (from rehearsal dinner-to reception food-to desserts & cupcakes) was the best I have ever had! Also, my photographer of Violet Brown Photography worked so hard to capture every beautiful moment just perfectly and artistically. It was the time of our lives, and we thank the Strandvue for providing!!! I would recommend a small wedding here any day.
