DEEPWATER CHARM IN BEAUFORT SOUTH CAROLINA

One of the guest bedrooms has a queen size pillow top bed and the other has two twin beds. These two rooms share a second full guest bathroom.

The Carolina room is fully enclosed, gets lovely summer breezes and has 180 degree views of the creeks and marsh. We have several sets of binoculars and bird books for your bird watching pleasure.

You'll love reading, fishing, shrimping, crabbing, and having 'docktails' on our great dock. You will see the dolphins swim, play, and fish in the creek.. it's fun to watch or you could join in the swimming.

This home is situated on a quiet street four miles from a major supermarket and other amenities. We are just five miles from downtown Beaufort and minutes from Parris Island. The town of Beaufort is steeped in Civil War history and pre-Civil War architecture. Beautiful Ante Bellum mansions grace avenues along the Beaufort River. The Beaufort River is also home to The Beaufort Water Festival where 50,000 + boats congregate on the Beaufort sandbar for two weeks in July for some sun, fun & lots more. Enjoy the boat during the day & the Waterfront Park in downtown Beaufort at night. There will be everything from 'Motown Monday' concerts to Headliner music stars for weekend concerts. Soak up some sun or some history on a carriage ride through town and the Old Point. See several sites where movies have been filmed, shop along Bay Street, visit the numerous art galleries and antique shops, and dine in some of the many excellent local restaurants. Whatever your pleasure is, You can bring your boat that can be docked at your private dock in the backyard. You can tour Beaufort by the way of your boat or just explore the waters & islands connected without any car traffic...Just yield for the other boaters! There is so much to do in Beaufort, It's hard to pick just one activity!!

Just twenty minutes away is Hunting Island State Park with three miles of wide pristine beaches. There are also walking and bike trails through the forest near the lagoon. Climb the lighthouse and look for dolphins, pelicans and bald eagles- they are there! You might also want to stop on the way home from the beach and buy some freshly caught fish or shrimp right where the shrimp boats come in!

There are three fine public golf courses and several tennis courts within 15 minutes of the house.
