I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I was last here. First thing on my agenda was to check the osprey next and figure out how many babies were born - 1or 2?. (I still don’t know!) Mama is keeping a VERY protective eye on the nest. Papa joins her in the morning and afternoon to help feed the chicks. The second thing on my agenda was to fill the bird feeders (plenty of seed in the shed). My third priority was a cold beer and a long hot outdoor shower – heaven! The weather was perfect. No humidity, highs in the upper 70’s low 80’s. I did not even need the A/C. Just opened all the windows and turned on the ceiling fans. It was wonderful! I made a mean shrimp scampi with some local shrimp – awesome. Went to Hunting Island beach two times and was surprised was able to go in the water. It’s chilly, but refreshing. Can’t wait to come back in July. I am becoming a regular!

We owners, weary of grey Pennsylvania winters, were looking for a southern location near beaches, nature, golf, tennis, and sun. To our delight, we found beautiful Beaufort – a diverse community, steeped in history, architecture, nature and more. Beaufort more that fit our requirements.
We have spectacular views of creeks and miles of marsh- which changes by the hour and colors change by the season, gorgeous sunrises and soft shadows at sunset. We watch a pair of osprey rearing their family just near our dock and wait for the slight “whoosh” that signals dolphins swimming in creek.
Gorgeous views.. amazing dock.. fishing, crabbing, shrimping, etc. right from dock.. wonderful wildlife.. close to beaches, shopping, sightseeing, golfing, tennis, farmers markets, and many other fabulous things..Don't forget about about the Beaufort Water Festival at http://bftwaterfestival.com/. Bring your boat, dock on our private dock & explore beautiful Beaufort in your boat. No landing traffic!!
