You'll love reading, fishing, shrimping, crabbing, and having 'docktails' on our great dock. You will see the dolphins swim, play, and fish in the creek.. it's fun to watch or you could join in the swimming.
This home is situated on a quiet street four miles from a major supermarket and other amenities. We are just five miles from downtown Beaufort and minutes from Parris Island. The town of Beaufort is steeped in Civil War history and pre-Civil War architecture. Beautiful Ante Bellum mansions grace avenues along the Beaufort River. The Beaufort River is also home to The Beaufort Water Festival where 50,000 + boats congregate on the Beaufort sandbar for two weeks in July for some sun, fun & lots more. Enjoy the boat during the day & the Waterfront Park in downtown Beaufort at night. There will be everything from 'Motown Monday' concerts to Headliner music stars for weekend concerts. Soak up some sun or some history on a carriage ride through town and the Old Point. See several sites where movies have been filmed, shop along Bay Street, visit the numerous art galleries and antique shops, and dine in some of the many excellent local restaurants. Whatever your pleasure is, you can bring your boat that can be docked at our private dock in the backyard. You can tour Beaufort by the way of your boat or just explore the waters & islands connected without any car traffic...Just yield for the other boaters! Just twenty minutes away is Hunting Island State Park with three miles of wide pristine beaches - voted 7th of the top 25 beaches in the US by Travelers Choice. There are also walking and bike trails through the forest near the lagoon. Climb the lighthouse and look for dolphins, pelicans and bald eagles- they are there! You might also want to stop on the way home from the beach and buy some freshly caught fish or shrimp right where the shrimp boats come in!
There are three fine public golf courses and several tennis courts within 15 minutes of the house.
**Enjoy all of this for $150 per night or $1150 per week. Weekly rate includes cleaning fee. Calender is kept on this website & is up to date
We owners, weary of grey Pennsylvania winters, were looking for a southern location near beaches, nature, golf, tennis, and sun. To our delight, we found beautiful Beaufort – a diverse community, steeped in history, architecture, nature and more. Beaufort more that fit our requirements.
We have spectacular views of creeks and miles of marsh- which changes by the hour and colors change by the season, gorgeous sunrises and soft shadows at sunset. We watch a pair of osprey rearing their family just near our dock and wait for the slight “whoosh” that signals dolphins swimming in creek.
Gorgeous views.. amazing dock.. fishing, crabbing, shrimping, etc. right from dock.. wonderful wildlife.. close to beaches, shopping, sightseeing, golfing, tennis, farmers markets, and many other fabulous things..Don't forget about about the Beaufort Water Festival at http://bftwaterfestival.com/. Bring your boat, dock on our private dock & explore beautiful Beaufort in your boat. No landing traffic!!
This house is perfect....location, comfortableness and the view!!Spectactular!!
Loved the oysters rockerfeller at Dockside, Crab sandwiches at the Shrimp Shack, and cocktails on the deck of the FILLIN STATION.Can't forget Alvin Ords. Hunting Island is indescribable - perfect beaches, warm water and GREAT WEATHER! The ospreys have at least two babies. Cabin 25 is paradise!
We had an excellent time at this home. It had everything we needed in an organized manner. The location is wonderful and it has easy access to everything. We loved Hunting Island and the natural beauty all around the Beaufort area.
We had the opportunity to stay at "Deepwater Charm" for our son's graduation from MCRD PI. Kids had a blast fishing and net casting and even caught some shrimp! the home was more than clean and comfortable The owners were more than accommodating. We were not able to return from Graduation until after the normal check out time and the owner allowed us the chance to come back to the house, clean up and load up our vehicle for the trip back to Florida. The drive to PI was short and even though this was in a neighborhood it felt private and secluded.
Not sure if we will ever get the chance to come back because of the reason for us staying here but we highly recommended it to anyone else. SEMPER FI
We just got back from our Labor Day weekend stay in Beaufort and we absolutely loved it! We came by boat from Charleston and couldn't have asked for a better weekend! The house had everything we needed and more! Very comfortable well stocked house with a beautiful view! We really enjoyed hanging on the dock, fishing, seeing all the nature. Since we came by water, we brought food and cooked all of our meals and the kitchen was a dream with all the pots / pans / utensils we could imagine. The beds are comfortable and the list goes on. Can't wait to come again! Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful vacation home!
We spent a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Beaufort August 7th through the weekend.
The house title "Deepwater Charm" depicts the house to a tee! The view was beautiful, the dining in Beaufort was delightful, and of course, all of the antique, consignment, and novelty shops were so much fun.
Most importantly, the house was clean, neat, and very inviting. The owner was so nice and accommodating! We plan to return! Thank you for a great time!
The house was more than we had hoped for. It had all the amenities and comforts that one could wish. Furthermore, everything worked. The site is perfect; although neighboring houses are around, we never heard or saw anyone. The yard was spacious, and the view from the bluff overlooking the creek was ideal. Stores and restaurants were an easy car ride away (not walking distance). We had a lovely vacation.
Location, Location, Location - less than one hour from Hilton Head, Savannah and Charleston. But why go anywhere - golf, great restaurants & bars, festivals, history, and scenic views with a lovely breeze are all here at this location. Nice quiet street with privacy - clean one level house with circular driveway. Full kitchen allows a family to keep expenses down while feeling right at home. I will keep coming back - can't beat the price!
