Balchik Tourist Attractions:
Balchik is famous not only for its superb marina where you will see some truly amazing yachts moored along the quayside, but also for its beautiful Botanical Gardens and the Summer Palace of the Romanian Queen Marie which are both worthy of a visit. The quaint cobbled streets lead down to the waters edge with many shops and facilities along the esplanade where you will also find a waterpark which is proving to be a great attraction for the kids!
The beaches in Balchik are the place to be! You can idle your time away sunbathing or swimming in the beautiful warm shallow waters of the Black Sea. The villa is just a 5 minute drive away from the beach which you can get to very easily by the village taxi service. A great holiday location with the added benefit of having both a relaxing peaceful environment at home in the villa and a bustling beach holiday in Balchik!
The International Beach Resort of Albena:
If you fancy going just a little further a field - a 10 minute drive will take you to the International beach resort of Albena - with its incredibly long Blue Flag beach of soft white sand running along the shallow warm waters of the Black Sea. There are loads of activities and attractions to keep the children happy including horse and trap rides around the resort and a there is even a relaxing spa for mum to have some pampering whilst the kids have a good time!
Golf:
Ideal location for golf fanatics! The newly constructed (opened 2008) BlackSeaRama and Lighthouse golf courses are just a 5 minute drive from the villa.
The Gary Player designed BlackSeaRama links course has recently hosted the Bulgarian Open, attracting many 'big' names from the golfing world. The course provides the challenge that the keen golfer requires with a superb '19th hole' at the end of your day's golfing. The management often offer cost effective promotions to encourage use of the course, so it is well worth checking this out before paying your fees! www.blacksearama.com
The sea views from the course are truly amazing and the restaurant provides an excellent menu, with fine dining and snacks available.
We strongly recommend a visit to the course where you can be taken for a tour in a golf buggy before you decide to play. We are very fortunate having an English speaking contact at the course who will assist you with any queries you may have.
