VILLA LORETTA - KONAKLI, ALANYA, TURKEY

We have just returned from a 2 weeks stay with friends at this lovely villa. The villa was immaculate throughout well equipt and comfortable. The service we received before we went and while we were the was first class. we would highly recommend a holiday at this villa.

From the initial enquiry to our sad departure from this fabulous villa the help and advice from the owner Evaldas and then his local managers Glenn and Heather was superb, if you decide to book this villa you are dealing with really good people.

The villa is everything that the photos show and more, on our arrival it was spotlessly clean, the attention to detail is excellent and it was a joy to stay there. The problem with the villa is, that when the sun shines(most of the time) the outside space and pool makes it so easy to just have another day by the pool!! The pool was very well maintained during our two weeks stay.

I was dubious about reports that you do not need a car when staying here, but you really don't. Glenn did airport runs for us and the town centre is a pleasant 10 minute walk. Also the D400 runs alongside the villa(200mts away and you don't notice it) and you can just stop any bus and they are cheap. A taxi from Konakli centre to the villa late at night was 5 turkish lira.

Konakli has ome really good restaurants,we used the Delphum(dolphin) cafe bar as a start and finish point most nights, Mefin the young waiter speaks English and German and can always get you a taxi, he makes a very good Bloody Mary as well.

Ali Baba's restaurant down past the mosque was very good and Yousuf will look after you very well.If you venture to Alanya the Orange Restaurant on the harbour was excellent.

This was our first visit to Turkey and we were a party of five two in their fifties,two in their seventies and one in twenties, the joy of the villa was it was big enough to allow everyone private space, chill out space but the poolside area was the focal point of the house.

We had a fantastic holiday at Villa Loretta and look forward to a return visit in the future.

Was impressed by previous reviews which were pretty accurate - hence our choice of this villa. Well designed, spacious villa, indeed built to a high standard. Would accommodate 6 easily and possibly more.
Excellent finishing, detailed furnishing, all you need in a holiday residence. Seaviews from the balconies. Good kitchen, spacious fridge, ample crockery and cutlery. Airconditioning/ heating in all rooms. Top living area with good-sized tv, tons of channels, radio/cd/dvd, great lighting, modern decor.
Excellent security with zero crime in the area.
Easy access to Alanya - less than 10kms or 15-20 minutes away.
Some direct flights to Antalya from London may be not as frequent as Turkish Airlines which fly through Istanbul. Turkish Airlines, however are pretty good.
Turkish Lira is what you need and gets you stuff for much cheaper than if you spend Euros.
Easy and helpful access to Glenn and Heather who manage the property very well and will ensure you are well looked after. Evaldas, the owner will also give valuable tips.
Would we go back to this villa? You bet.
