Caye Caulker House Rental Photos and Description
The locals have named our house the Glass House. Once you step inside the open plan kitchen and living area, you will see why. Wrap around floor to ceiling windows and glass doors provide a stunning ocean view from practically every spot. The glass walls are oriented to take maximum advantage of the view while still providing privacy for the occupants.
This solar and wind powered house is surrounded on two sides by the Caribbean Sea. A dock with swim ladder offers easy access for swimming, snorkeling or just sunbathing. A well equipped kitchen and the stunning sea views from the open kitchen, living room and dining room area provide plenty of opportunities for relaxing, cooking and reading, all within sight of the water. Two separate bedrooms with queen size beds and a bathroom with shower complete the main floor. A separate third bedroom with queen size bed and full bath are on the second floor. A short bike ride into town provides restaurants, shopping, excursions, sport and night-life activities.
The unique rooftop 'crow's nest' offers an unparalleled panoramic view of the entire island. From this vantage point, one of the highest on the island, you can watch the planes land and spot the barrier reef only 1/4 mile off of the eastern shore of the island. Accessed via a ladder well and roof hatch, this relaxing spot always captures the breeze and is a perfect spot for wildlife spotting or romantic evening interludes.
Our caretaker, Michael, will meet you and get you settled in. He is a valuable resource for recommendations on restaurants, tour guides, fishing guides, etc. Michael can also arrange for a gasoline golf cart to rent.

I work in the federal government and my wife is a human resources manager. We have lived and worked overseas extensively. We don't get to our vacation house enough these days but hope to visit more often in the coming years.
Set on the secluded side of this small tourist island in the Caribbean sea and surrounded on two sides by the water, we find that the house offers the perfect combination of privacy and seclusion while still having nightlife, entertainment and numerous restaurant options a short 1.5 mile bike-ride into town. Primarily english-speaking, stable and open to foreigners, Belize is a hidden destination worth exploring. The wind sports such as kite surfing, wind surfing and sailing and the diving are all world-class.
Taking a daily swim off of the dock followed by a short sun-bathing session is always the high-point of the day. The beautiful and ever-changing sunsets are a close second. Having a decent kitchen in which to cook up dishes using locally caught fish and lobster is also a favorite pastime.
